I would recommend Simply Be Hosted

http://www.simplybehosted.com

I use them and I have had no problems yet. If you do have a problem you can e-mail them and should get a reply within a few hours. They offer yearly or monthly subscription.

ok well i will email you loads of details when we change servers.

Even though our new server host has fast servers their support and set-up speed is slow.

Also setting up and transfering 20+ websites does take time, too mcuh time.

I think it is gonna be Cpannel 4, although could be ensim. Statisics are a big yes, you get access to log files too. 20GB is loads. for example one page on average is 100kb max usually, 20 000 000 / 100 = 200 000 page views a month.

I will ask Aron about the bandwidth (what happens when it goes over) and see what Brandon can do about the domain.

I would have emailed but ntl email is down, and some **** turned email caching on for my buissness email account.

ok transfering is easy, you just have to point your domain to our name servers.

So with your current registar you have a choice of where what name servers to use. You just have to change them to ns1.hostculture.com and ns2.hostculture.com

But only AFTER you have brought a hosting account, or else it will point to www.hostculture.com

Oh and after your period has run out with your current registar you can get the domain through the main company website.

It was $14 per year last time i checked, but we may be moving provider on domains.

PS we make no profit on domains.

Darthpuff: I paid ~£5 for a years domain registration. I'm paying ~£10 for 5gb transfer rate. The host has every scripting and database thing under the sun, the technical support is fast (I've used it twice, under 30 mins each time), and the control panel is extensive.

My only niggle is that the statistics page doesn't give me an actual number for each file downloaded.

hehe, i got some news which may make things easier for you

You need to register the domain again and our system is working (The only problem with the company being in the US and UK is that we only have short meetings )

You CAN get the hosting with host culture now, the server move will happen at night (very early morning) so there will be little disrouption.

I am on MSN, and i can get you the detials for hosting etc. Basicly you need to get hosting first which will get you a xxx.hostculture.com then you need to email the support with you account name and the domain name, then change the settings for your domain.

It is not too hard, i will see if there are any posts on the forums with more details of doing this.

Thanks,

MP

Ok here is more info.

You sign up for your account with host culture and they will set it up within a few days max (most of the time it takes a matter of hours, but you must take into account the time zones). You will not be charged until the hosting is up and if you need some space for downloads or somming just MSN me and i will sort somming out.

With the welcome email you will recieve the address of 2 name servers and more deitals on how to set up the domain.

Host Culture does not offer domain registration but the parent compant (Southeast Creations) does, although the website is a shambles at the moment as we got a new design comming in its gonna be g8

http://www.southeastcreations.com/domainregistration.php

It takes 24/48 hours to transfer a domain, but i suggest buying it after you get the hosting account then you can get the namesevers right first time.
