So I just saw it twice in a row on the same night. I loved every second of it. How about all of you, seen it, liked it, hated it?

The trailer never really interested me, but once I saw it, I loved it!

I preferred Shaun of the Dead, but moreover I prefer Spaced, the sitcom type series that started it all. Go buy the box set of Spaced now, 2 series, about £12, and more laughs than you'll get in 20 series of the Office.

I can see them tackling space next, like some sort of sci-fi comedy, like Red Dwarf. I seriously think they're just waiting on a budget big enough to do a proper sci-fi comedy film.

I see the Peep Show guys have made a movie now, no doubt trying to replicate Pegg and Co's success, Peep Show rocks, I hope their movie is up to scratch.

Saw it, I think it's a great movie, I loved Shaun of the Dead as well, Big Nothing was pretty cool as well (With Simon Pegg) and the TV series Black Books (Starring Dylan Moran (David, Shaun of the Dead) and Bill Bailey (Police station receptionist, Hot Fuzz) with guest appearances from actors from Shaun of the Dead for those who don't know)

The Office has its moments that make you smile... but that's it. Not enough for a good comedy. And I was supposedly watching a "best of" collection.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

Hot Fuzz was a great film Was filmed in Wells, near where I live too...was funny recognising most of the streets in the movie lol. Also, if you live in the countryside, you can relate to a lot of the stereotyping in the movie.

Did channel 4 release a box set containing the 1-4 series of peep show yet? Scouring the net all I could find was the 1-3 boxed set and you have to buy the 4th series. What is the name of the movie those two guys created that Van B mentioned?

The films called Confetti I believe. Very funny comedy apparently plus loads of nudity. Can't go wrong there...

Also try That Mitchell and Web look. Was a series they did last year. Pretty good. Numberwang! and Angel Summoner & BMX Bandit were pretty funny. Worth a look. Gotta love Nazi's asking themselves if they are the bad guys because they have skulls on their uniform.

Cheers

This movie is by far my favorite movie- it beats every other movie I've ever seen. Yes, I did love every second of it. I saw it last night and I invited a friend over to watch it today.

Hot Fuzz RULES!!!

And the Office is one of my favorite shows. The UK version must be horrible considering its as boring as watching paint dry.

Spaced was an awesome show, absolutely loved it. And that space exploration comedy that stars whats-his-face, the heavy-set guy (from the duo we're talking about), that's hilarious also. I loved Shaun of the Dead and haven't gotten to see Hot Fuzz yet (it's being released on DVD State-side at the end of this month, on the same day 300 is coming out), but I'm assuming I'll love it also.

I never really got into the Office... the UK or US version. I tried them both but they weren't capable of capturing my attention for any period of time. I do however think Ricky Gervais is hilarious (I'm a big fan of Extras), in that Jack Dee/ Lead Balloon sort of way. I don't know why, but Ricky Gervais makes me think of Graham Norton, even though the two of them have absolutely nothing in common, lol.

hot fuzz was excellent. I think Nick and Simon have improved from shaun of the dead but shaun of the dead was a classic. And as for Ricky Gervais, i think hes lost his touch. hes not as funn as he used to be. Now bill bailey or rowan atkinson they are incredibly funny.

They've been in a film called Magicians but that was released about a month ago, whether that's the one he's on about I don't know.

I've seen both that and Hot Fuzz and out of the 2 I definitely prefer Hot Fuzz. It wasn't exactly what I expected but having seen it I can definitely see similarities between that and Shaun of the Dead. Worth getting the DVD (which I have).

I love Bill Bailey on Black Books and he seems to be a genuinely nice guy, but I remember seeing some of his standup in the 90's and not thinking much of it.

Oh, that guy was hilarious, I've never seen his stand-up (but then perhaps I shouldn't bother, lol). The girl from Black Books went on to do some romance show, I was somewhat shocked. How can I put this lightly... she has a face for comedy lol. Not that she's ugly, I dunno, she just seems more comedic than romantic.

Grr, I wish Hot Fuzz was on DVD already

I saw it last night with a bunch of friends and I think that it was a great movie, very professionally filmed/edited and the sound effects were really nice.
Imdb states that the santa was Peter Jackson.

I love the office! And Hot Fuzz. I think Ricky Gervais is a hero! I like his robot dance. You must be really into it before you find the humor though but still great.
Spoiler of hot-fuzz do not read if you have not watched it yet¬

Yeah, she has a strange face... better put, a strangely alluring face.

I always felt that her part in Black Books was slightly underwritten compared with the guys. But she's great there and especially on Green Wing, which is an ever so slightly mad series too.

I can think of two episodes (and only two) that were distinctly hers... the one where the walls of her apartment were moving in on her (literally), then that episode where she meets her long lost relatives who only want to talk to her because she owns a car, lol classic . And I think she may have been on an episode of Lead Balloon as well (the one with the baby shop). I haven't seen Green Wing though, we don't get that show in the States, I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
