I recently got an imac g3 from a friend its a 333mhz tray loading model. the problem is it won't boot ive tried booting from old restore cds and using differnt hard drive nothing will work. althogh by holding down the reset button on the side of the mac i can get it to load some kind of firmware command prompt. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

if the firmware is OSX

reset - all [press enter]
reboot

if its a OS9 OS

hold apple / option P key and R key to reset the parameter ram.
wait for the reset sound twice.

insert OS9 or OSX disc and restart, hold down C to make the machine boot from the CDROM/DVD drive and install an operating system.
