Well my project Mystic Dream rpg will be in the alpha stage come next week and were looking for some serious people who are willing to play the game, find the bugs, experiement with game features and overall give us an idea of how playable the experience is. The alpha will be small featuring two races with only one class for each race but you will be useing the real models. There will probably be a few locations to explore however only a few generic npcs and a couple of monsters. Basicly we have the engine more or less complete but were producing media and editors to fill up the world. If you think you can give quality feedback then post a name and email and we will be in contact.

I'm usually really good at picking projects apart. My fellow game designer friends always consult me for advice and 99% of the time use it.

It would help if you could prove and/or show off the state of the game, however, if you prefer to keep it private, that is understandable

I will however in a day or two when graphically it will appear well complete. It was made with dbpro if thats what you mean but you wont need it to run just directx.

Hey Jess T, I'm the modeler for the project, and right now, I'd like to keep the content a little hush-hush. If admiral wants to show off some screenshots though, it's his project and I can't argue

How much time a week would I have to spend??

I know that tester is a good first rung in the ladder up to game designer, and having some XP would be good.

So.... yeah..... please answer and I may be able to help.

BTW I'm very good at finding bugs.... I found a brilliant one in Gears of War two player.... if anyone wants to know then post.

a the current graphical detail implemented, and after running several tests, the minimum computer requirements:

windows xp
2ghz processor
512mb ram
decent graphics card w/ shader 2.0 (this may or may not be included in this build of the game, because I'm still looking into other shader possibilities, and I'll most likely not include any in this alpha)

as for the size, not sure how big it will be...by the end of this week, we'll be putting together everything into one package...we've been working on stuff separately, and are ready to pull it all together.

i'm real excited about this, and i'm hoping people will enjoy the game.

as for how much effort we expect from you guys as testers, i'll leave that up to admiral, but we'll probably require you to fill out a question form.

hope this answers some things

Oh shoot it might not work on my computer, as it has a terrible GFX card.

But I'll test for you anyway.... then at least you'll know if it doesn't...... I'm hoping it will though.

we really want people with slower computers to try as well, becuase right now the graphics are set at an optimized level, and we are going to eventually add graphics detail, with levels from:

low
medium
normal
high

so seeing how it runs on all types will be most helpful

We dont have a set number of hours to play but we want you to try play it like a normal rpg and give us an idea of how the gameplay works and flows etc. All specs are welcome I have run this on some pretty low spec computers and it still gets by.

Eldest dragon if you could supply me with an email address that would be great

To everyone else when we release the alpha you will be sent an email with download instructions.

Moondog, no worries

There's noting wrong with wanting to keep your work to yourself until it's ready to go live!
