I believe its an option in the settings to sign on as invisible. If not, then Im confused with Yahoo.

oh well. its possible the protocol doesn't allow you to sign on invisible.

Please do not use AIM, use an alternative like Gaim or trillion. they are compatible and do the same thing AIM does but they do no fill your pc with carpware and ad's

I don't use mods because, i am fine with the way It is,don't feel a need for anything extra

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

Gaim has a really really crappy GUI. And Trillian has bug where it could be remotely crashed from someone else. I notified them about it but never heard a response. They might've fixed it as it was over a year ago when I found it. Apparently it didn't like NULL messages.

Try this one. It's clean and simple, no adverts, and its developed by a group at AOL as a separate project from AIM6.

Then there's always my client. :-d Not completely finished yet but I'm getting there. Sadly no invisibility will be supported due to the fact I use the TOC protocol and the invisibility feature is only part of OSCAR. Sciurus

Surely hex editing the program would be worse than installing a new one.

Gaim 2.0 has been recently released, under its new name Pidgin. Probably worth a look. Scripting to the max!

That's not as bad as you think you said.

I still think this feature may not be possible due to protocol specifications. But I'm not as familiar with OSCAR so who knows.
