what the crap?!
had never seen the american version before, but if that was Tarront he would've sat there for 5minutes going "Are you sure?" or "Is that your final answer?".. it's what makes the show what it is.

The kid even said "no.. wait" and she was all like "aww I'm so sorry". Yeah like hell she was! Crap TV imo

yeah i agree with Raven, this was off the charts. In the norwegian version too the host would for 5 minutes be asking if it's the final answer.

The dutch version would even said: "no, please don't!"
"Nee, doe niet. Het is de eerste vraag!"

In the American version too. However, the kid said it was his final answer. He basically waived the right to be asked.

All I can say is...

Hahahahahaha!! What a dummy!!! I hope he got beat up for being a complete dope by his dorm mates.

Yeah, but even in the UK version with Tarront, even if you said it was your final answer, he would have asked again, are you sure.

So I think the American version sucks.

I'm sure that saying "YES" when Tarrant asks if it's your final answer, you are contractually committing yourself. Scraggle has been on the show and won £8K, maybe he can clear it up.

I used to like it when he would wait for like a minute, saying things like he didn't actually know the answer, then he would say "and now an ad-break". ARRRGGG!!!! Also you might as well switch off if it's only about quarter of an hour to go and someone gets kicked off (is always quarter of an hour or so of really easy questions).

It's a sad world that now means Tarrant is more recognised and made *much* more money for that show than Tiswaz.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

I thought it was pretty funny...I thought the answer was incredibly easy, but poor guy, making a fool of yourself on TV isn't the best thing to do, with all of your friends and family watching...Plus he must have been pretty gutted to come out with nothing.

Calling someone a noob is an insult now? I must have been living under a rock because last time i checked, EVERYONE is a noob at SOMETHING. Find one person that is proficient in every field imaginable.....i'll just wait here.

Or everything. Mr. Grandma...

And you've already found me. So why even ask a question you know the answer to? And can make an awesome game, snipe someone from 1000 yards away, and bake a cake. What more do you need?

I poke fun at you because your arguments are silly. You got called a noob, so say something witty, not something boring and exhaustive. Good luck.

The guy was stupid.. sorry.. but he could think a little bit more.

This hurts. What kind of public do these shows choose?

:edit:
Which of these gravitates around the Earth?

a. The Moon;
b. Mars;
c. The Sun;
d. Venus.

You're right, experience is the definitive factor in common sense, but IQ helps alot. I don't think i'm lacking in common sense though if that's what you're implying.

I'm sorry it wasn't entertaining, but check again, i'm 100% sure it's logic in there somehwere.

You're 100% sure, but no sure where? That doesn't even make sense. It's either 100% logical or it isn't.

I could write a detailed explanation of why your post was not logical. Your attempt to explain away your being called a 'noob' was weak at best. But I won't, unless you really want me to.

ugh.

I know perfectly well where. Ofcourse the logic was that "noob" is not fit for an insult as everyone is a noob at something, it's like calling someone a "person". Morale is: noones perfect.

That's not true at all. The insult was specific to you and your post. I this case the meaning is basically 'you suck at this thing that you're trying to talk about' which is true. It's like calling someone dumb. It's a generic word that can apply to any situation. Of course, nobody (hopefully) is dumb about everything, but at one time or another you'll be dumb about something and can be called that. Which you were. So???

I think the problem here is that Grandma doesn't understand the kind of humour of mocking someone, jokingly. I did it to him on MSN once and he got really mad.

Yeah well, not everyone had the luxury of a nice childhood. I was darn close to suicide at one point because of mocking (amongs other things), and i don't like to joke about it.

Well it's not really the mocking that's the joke, it's the way it's done. If it's clever, it's funny. It's not meant to actually be insulting at all.

bwahahahahaha, what a retard!

YouTube is full of wannabe millionaires, and they're quite amusing.

American:
"what punctuation mark is commonly used to introduce a list of items?" (woman said period)

French:
"What is it that orbits around the Earth?" (guy said Sun)

So the Americans don't know basic grammar and the French probably still think the Earth is flat. There must be a test you have to fail in order to get on these shows or something.

Now this guy isn't an idiot and yet the ending had me laughing harder than watching the stupid people.

If 75% of the audience agrees on an answer for a $300 question, would you use 2 more life lines only to still be wrong? I'll admit I wasn't sure of the answer to this question, but the way he failed it was just humiliating.

Hehe, I should have gotten that $300, it's simple, a verb is a 'doing' word as our primary school teachers described it or an 'action', an action can be active or passive, an adverb or an adjective isn't essentially doing anything, how can it be passive or active, seems pretty simple, how could it not be a 'verb'?
