THis is the results on an experiment into bullet dodging animations. Bear in mind the dive animation in the video is just rough. Now I know it works, I\'m gonna start working on a propper anim set, but check out the little vid over at youtube to see what I\'m talking about!

Concept is great, animation is gay, but yeah your workin' on it. lol

So if I'm thinking about this right, they are basically dodging the second bullet?

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

I am going to send my mafia friends over to London to kindnap you so I can steal your brain! Sick concept, keep this one going because people by the dozens will want to use the animation. And BTW that hippie music on the video reminds me of my cloudy collage days, ahh the memories.... wait what was I just saying?

Awesome concept. To improve the dodge, I would create the dive much much faster by making it dive a greater distance. I would also make the character dive onto the ground, then roll back onto his feet. Just a few tips, like..

THanks for the support guys. Obviously my plan for the finished one is to have a spring-dive-roll-springup sequence, but I wasn't going to bother with all that if FPSC wouldn't support it.

as a point, I cant make the dive faster or further because it's working through the strafe command in the FPI language

Ah well fair play, but as I recommended about improving the distance, this would in turn make it look faster, if not literally make it faster, since its a greater distance to cover in the same ammount of frames

Read again smitho

Looks great butters If you can get it working it would be great for contrast. That game is starting to look very very promising

Other than looking like a sort of time dialation I think it looks pretty cool and the dual wielding baddies are mint.

Errant sounds like a fourteen year old chav.

you needn't remind us of the plague we British suffer from.

anyway, nice animation butters, if you cant move it further, perhaps forcing it to move further in the animation itself might help, then fade back to the center during a land/roll.

What are you talking about? Canada is overflowed with these rats I should know my brother is one, he also uses "cool" video game and movie insults like pwned just to try and impress people. In Canada "chavs are known as "cool" though.

Oh really? well Chavs and cool people go hand-in-hand here. Butters I think you said it couldn't be fixed somewhere but can you fix that weird leap they do to "dodge" bullets? The first time I saw this thread I though you meant the player could dodge bullets like in the matrix
