A quesrion many people like myself in the world ask.

Quote: "If everyone hates each other in the UK, or you can't find a girl, IT'S THE UK. It seems like many Americans don't like the UK, this is probably from all the conspiracy and treason theories."

I had a reply for this, but deleted it after realising that it was full of politics. I'll just agree there, although there is more to it than just 'conspiracy and treason theories' as some thoughts have been acknowledged to be true - heck what evil thing the British media does has been taught as part of the editorial writing section of our English course. (Creating peoples opinion etc. for their prefered political/social stance)

That was already said in an old thread, many months ago.

And I've heard it a million other times - I know it's a common joke - but people still use them

With these threads you're posting in, I am being very patient with your tone, but sorry for trying to keep the threads in a light heartily manner. People have a habit of getting me on the wrong end of the stick...But soon change their mind - too abnormal for the real world.

Yes, congrats. Not posted 'big' topics then? I guess that's a good thing, you end up getting more done in the end and stop wasting time on the forums like most of us do.

im going to stay with the original story in my reply...

I absolutely despise people like that, especially (as mentioned) those who think they know 'all about computers' because they know how to copy and paste html into their My-space or Bebo, but the real annoyance is that a lot of these people think any other form of computing is pathetic, personally i think spending hours reading and writing stupid comments such as "OMG nice bebo, luv u!! <3" is a damn side larger waste of time than learning a programming language or actually something that could help with a career or improve your own profession/hobby skills.

but thats teenagers for you, They always seem to have huge ego's for a little reason, they're on top of the world because they've just passed minor education.

Well, they need to have a healthy social life. I think everyone could use some more social skills. Yes, learning a programming language is very helpful, but I think they're both important.

But, yea, people seem like that lately. IT IS from the ease-of-use technology that keeps getting easier. The average person is learning more about technology, and yea, some of those people may think they know a lot, but not a lot of them.

If it means anything, I've never heard that joke and found it funny.

I'm a teenager with a big ego. And let me tell you facts don't get chicks but being an egotistical arse sure helps. Makes me proud, I don't even need the fact that I passed minor education to have an infalted ego . Because facts don't get girls. See the cycle: I think I'm sexy, but the facts may or may not back me up... but facts don't get chicks therefore: I am sexy.

I think my worst case is just as 64-bit cpus were first emerging, i had a friend getting a new pc for gaming, hence i told him to get an AMD athlon. Another friend of mine said "wtf are you on about, intel all the way" to which I replied "well, ok, its debatable, but if you want my opinion, at this particular moment in time, amd's are better for gaming"

we then went into debating why for a good week afterwards, by which time this friend also decided he wanted a new pc, and fitted it with an intel, while the first friend took my advice and got an AMD.

now, when this guy was saying "get intel" i assumed he wasnt a complete idiot and was on about a pentium. at our next lan party, he turned up, after a month of boasting about how awesome his new intel cpu was, we observed him playing CS:S at like 10fps, wondered why.. the idiot had got a celeron..

@Manticore Night

Theres a lot to debate here, but I'm not going to argue about it. If it works for you, then good for you, but I think the majority of us think differently in that subject.
