I just saw it, finished about half an hour ago.

I have to say.... WOW!

It was brilliant, the plot was awesome with enough twists to make it interesting and the sfx were awesome.

All the actors were on highest performance, and the only thing wrong with it was that it was the LAST .

With a running time of nearly 3 hours, it was definetley worth the price! See it. See it as soon as possible.

I saw it 2 days ago, it was ok. Lots of good special effects. The story shifted so much it was a little hard to follow at times. It was good but not outstanding.

Gonna see it Friday evening. Can't wait! Just as long as it's better than the 2nd. That was a little too corny at times.

You know anyone who's about 17/18 who's name is Kevin M*****? Just curious, he moved there and is an old friend.

SSS - I may know him. I know a few Kevins here . It isn't a very big town, so chances are if I do not know him, I have crossed paths with him. Is he a DBP user as well?

i'm usually about 2-3 months behind on movies, because i wait until there out in the cheapy theaters, when it only costs $0.75 to watch them saves on money, heh.

i was going to see this when it came out, but after hearing about how Spiderman 3, and Shreq 3 were both bad movies, i'm not sure i want to go see Pirates and be very disappointed.

anyway, i'll still go see it in theaters, just in three months

Dosent come out here 4 another 2 hours. I dident really like the 2nd one. There was too much humor . The orignal is best.

i actually thought the second one was darker then the first. the first one was mostly humor, and the second one left you going

I thought the second one sucked so much. I'm not sure whether it was just because it was "in the middle" as it were and it'd been about a year since I'd seen the original, but it did seem to be missing something that would have made it a 'complete' movie. Similarly, I found the second LOTR film to be a disappointment in this respect also.

I think they did leave a very interesting plot open at the end of the second film, and I'm eager to see how they wrap it up.

Got plans to go see it in a couple of weeks when the hype has calmed down a bit. A full cinema with screaming kids and people guzzling popcorn down your ear always seems to ruin a film for me. It's amazing that you can get a cinema all to yourselves if you wait a couple of weeks after release. AND, if you go to the last showing you can sometimes get the promotional displays and posters from the cinema

The official release was today, did you watch it as a critic?

I would go see it, if the theatre near me didn't have the crappiest screen you could get.

I often have to wait till the movies come out on video.
I wanted to see Spiderman 3 also, but I am now going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD to buy it, and it looks like it is going to be the same for Pirates 3.

I didn't know that POTC was a national movie until a friend of mine whom lives in Japan called me said he saw it.

I have seen both 1 and 2. I saw 1 in the theatre, and 2 on DVD.

I have heard that Spiderman 3 was better then the second, but not as good as the first (I personally found the second Spiderman better).

As for Shrek 3, it is supposed to have the same fate as 2, meaning just stupid.

Who will die first?

haha, I thought you were talking about me for a second... that's really close to my name. Of course, I'm not 17/18, don't have glasses and don't live in that town. So yea, my omg was for naught.

My favorite line from the second one was
"dirt?...."
"if you don't want it, give it back"
".......no!"

Actually I Manage a theatre here on the weekends, that is my other other other job. When I am not in a managing mood, I have another projectionist take care of things so I can 'usher' , but this night was just one of many previews that employees are privy to, hence watching movies a day or two before they break is commonplace. Most theatres do this to ensure that the film has been assembled correctly. Unfortunately this will likely end within the next 5-10 years as digital prints will become more widely available.

Eldest Dragon, you got two allies. My review (I don't want to copy-and-paste-spam the forum with such a long review) down at LBD.

http://littlebrightdots.blogspot.com/2007/05/pirates-3-at-worlds-end.html

Yeah, the ending was satisfactory - more than that. More like brilliant People fail to see that given the situation, it is the best ending that one could wish for - although it might not seem so.

Oh, and: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/entertainment/2007-05/11/content_870578.htm
Some people won't be playing in it, though - and I think three is the final one I really want to see. The story is over. Done.

My mum loves Johnny Depp, so we are bound to go see it as a family, some time. Though my mum will make up a story saying my little brother wants to see it.

E.D. I took my X and current GF to see it.
There is no hassle with that, we all get along quite well without remorse.

The x and I got it with the twists and liked it from start to finish.
The new gf didnt understand a bit of it. This is the one who asked me who was the little green guy in star wars! , and decided to sms her friends near the end. Granted she is very young.

I loved the twists, the CGI and the multiplication aspects.

That nearly had me falling off my chair.
No offence to your gf who I am sure is lovely .

I just loved every bit of it, although I was surprised at how grueseome the fight in singapore was.
And also that scene RIGHT at the very beginning....

Loved the first,
Second was okay,
Third was great!

I really likes this film. The story was well developed the cinemotography was great, the Special effects were good Depp was BRILLIANT! Ending was okay but still not totally satisfied!

I can't beleive what the critics are saying about it though.
imdb score is going down! Rotten tomatoes give a 50 and yahoo movies a C+! I think it desereves better!

I saw it last night. I loved it! A bit more violent and gruesome at times which was good. It had an interesting ending in my opinion. Definitely better than the 2nd, and rivals the 1st. I really liked how long it was.

I'm holding out for "Space Mountain: The Movie", that one will be fun!

Or how about "It's a Small World," the movie, where you listen to kids singing "It's a Small World, Afterall" in hundreds of languages for 2 hours straight.

Went to see it on Friday, didn't get back till Saturday. (9:30 PM Friday to about 12:30 AM Satuday, got home 30 min later.)

It was awesome!
I didn't exactly get it until they got out of Jones' locker, but there was 40 cliffhangers, plot twists, etc. that it was still exciting. It was priceless at the end when Beckett finally realizes that it's over, he loses no matter what happens.
