Okay, what do I need to make .X files? I have Autodesk 3DS Max 9, but I'm not sure if I can make .X files with it.

Hallo Fire Starter...of course you can do it, but you need a plug-in for that...something like the panda exporter....you can get it here:

Try Milkshape3D, it can export to many model formats and is affordable.
