sorry to make a post but,
I had a chat with the guy over msn, we actually have a few things in common.
scary to know.

our real biological dads both shared an air force thing.

This be the end of my mocking, towards someone I never knew until now.
peace, love & mung-beans, even age old hatreds can be rectified with a simple conversation.
should-a done it 7 years ago.

however, even the best of mates in australia still tease each other

Well, I'm glad that you connected with Raven, but it sure doesn't erase every crazy thing he's ever said. I'm not sure if he really believes all of the stuff or not. What brings him out into public ridicule is that he continues to assert his honesty, I suppose thinking that we've forgotten everything.

ok I can understand difference of opinion and the crazy things he has proclaimed, but im out now.

I realize that people are more misfortunate then me, and more blessed in some other ways, and raven is ok,

however it doesnt prevent me giving him a dose of skippy, that said he just wants to be part of us, and there really is no harm to be a little more forgiving like a brother.

If you say something silly I wont be so harsh.
I wont tolerate stupidity however, but for this community i can laugh it off.

This community has tolerated me through a bad time and I think I rectified the negatives.
kudos to the ones ive not got along with the most,

sorry for my bad behavior, albeit a few years

yuk, that was hard to say,.

Actually, I am not at all surprised to learn that the two of you have a lot in common. I always thought that you both came across quite similar.

OUCH!

I've had a few private conversations with Raven too. He is a different person when there isn't a crowd. It is a shame really. I think if he acted the same way to the community as he does on a personal level, he would be very well liked.

Now that is classic!!

I shortened my Raven post in 3DimChat board. I like Raven. Perhaps because I know how F.O.S. I can be sometimes. I believe that Raven is smart, talented, and just delivers some great posts. I especially like reading when he is debating someone.

Like indi said in a post here earlier (paraphrase, and extending a bit), we are all pieces of the puzzle that makes TGC forums. Raven is a unique piece to that puzzle. I'd really miss it, if he weren't around! He adds something interesting to the mix. Can't really put my finger on exactly what that is. First, I'll try to figure out what I add.

@indi,
It's really cool that you were able to take something positive away after chatting with Raven, given all that time. It's not easy to keep an open-mind about people. Especially, if they have rubbed you the wrong way at a given point(or numerous times). I know I have my fair share of, "wish I could take back what I said/typed" moments.

Ditto. I chat with him frequently over MSN, and sometimes we'll have disagreements, but it's all good. I have blocked more than a few people from this forum and haven't considered that for Raven

That being said, I don't understand the desire to have to prove what you say. Isn't that the responsibility of the accuser? Get some hard evidence. If I tell you I'm the king of Poland--- ok, I'm obviously delusional. But I've never had anyone go up in arms when I told people where I work, either. Don't think it should be different for anyone else.

I've been doing some Q&A on Callsign for harden Elite fans.
They're a tough crowd

Don't really have anything to add to this. If this didn't have my name on it, would've probably passed it over. hehe

Personally, I like indi should now start a thread called "Fallout kicks ass" to even stuff up. Mods should never show favouritism to one patron.

lmao, the day the mods show favouritism to me in a good way will be the day hell freezes over. think i'm far too much to handle on here for that to be true.

always wonder what this forum is like when i take breaks from it.

i know the world doesn't collapse simply because i'm not around, which is a shame in some instances of life; cause would be nice to know i'm that important to people that i'm irriplacable, but oh well.

still it's just something interesting given i'll never really know what things are like. just wonder if it's more interesting, or people like not having the crazy long debates about crapall.. or maybe i'm that totally unimportant that it's no different at all.

simply nice knowing there could be a place where, i affect what happens rather than providing some amusing distraction while i'm around.

I dunno, I think the forum becomes slightly more intelligent when you are around. What I mean by that is whether people listen to you or not, choose to believe you or not, whatever, but definitely we do less talking about seriously stupid subjects when you put in your 2p's worth. So you can take that how you want.

It's like the light in your fridge, most people know that the light goes off when the door is closed, but some people need to see this for themselves, and suffocate in the process.

Maybe you should log out and hang around the forums like some sort of window licker, but from what I've seen things don't change that much, it's not like the old days, when people would notice if you disapeared for a few days. Remember GuyS posting about Indi's run-in with a Kangaroo?, Indi comes back all sheepish, turned out that Indi had actually started the fight after catching the 'Roo stealing his tinnies.

iirc Danny still has the entire RGT forum backed up on his site where he still holds LLRGT. might be an idea to talk to him.
although can't really say i have fond memories of RGT, one thing was for certain.. certainly as hell wasn't boring place.

A window licker is a bit like a peeping tom, a perv who likes nothing more than licking the windows of unsuspecting women. It's a term, not used to describe someone who does that, rather describes someone who you think might do that - actual cases of real window lickers are rare.

It's also an amazing video/tune by Aphex Twin, you should check it out (youtube?), there's some real babes in that video.

I always thought that a window licker was a term for a mentally challenged person that you might see on a 'happy bus'. The type of person that would have their lower jaw permanently loose with their tongue hanging out and drooling over the window.

That is certainly the way it is used in my locale.

I've heard it used to describe handicapped folk too, but it's definately a term for a peeping tom as well - plus that variant is a lot more PC friendly , it's perfectly fine to mock the socially handicapped .

Then smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast. Always wanted to say that... what a guy....

Damn, now I want to make my text adventure based on Ace Rimmer rather than Darkplace (apt name don't you think?). Still I'm planning on making it a MUD (DarkMUD so combines DarkPlace and DarkBasic) that allows users to create their own domains (adventures) for people to play. So I can make more than one No one will play it, but who cares, is fun
