I've been very busy lately, and haven't sat down and made a character model in a long time. I really don't think I'll ever have time to do that for another month or so. Until then, is there any artist willing to model and animate a few custom characters for me?

I'll pay anywhere from $4.99 to $14.99 in USD for one good character. Yes, I've seen the official FPS Creator model pack for characters, and it's good, but I need something more.

you might get someone to draw a character and turn it into an animated decal for $5...

depends on who wants to work on it... and some (not saying anybody here, merely hypothetical) would do it for free if provided with a model and texture beforehand.

Butters had some deal once,he asked $60 i think,BUT then he had all rights to resell it again to others.

And Disturbing13 had a deal once too, dont remember the details of that one though.

You could save yourself $5 and simply retexture it. There are many good retexturing tutorials around and the methods used are simple. Basic explantions on how to do it are all over the forum such as this one.(second post)

I KNOW HOW TO MAKE 3D MODELS, I JUST DON'T HAVE TIME TO ANIMATE!

Animating is very frustrating too.

$100+ ???

I once sold a custom 3D model before(FPS Creator ready) for only $10. AND I THOUGHT I CHARGED HIM TOO MUCH!

Next time I think I'll charge $25.

make the model. I'll UV map it and rig it to the FPSC biped for
£25.

As a point, $15 your offering is about £7 .You could earn twice that working 2 hours in Macdonalds.

I recon it'll take an hour or 2 to UV map it, and maybe an hour to rig it to the skeleton. so thats charging about £8 an hour. Which frankly is nothing. I charge around £20 an hour for what I do at the moment. Although to you this maybe bedroom stuff, theres a big world out there, and sadly for you people want money for their skills.

animating is only really hard if the model isn't made well otherwise its easy, in max anyway.

Not really, it's easy if one has knowledge about it.
It's another thing if it looks good, knowledge does not make things look good.

Thanks Butters.

Yeah animating always annoys me. Especially, considering I don't have 3DS MAX and have to have the bones converted to max. Then I pay for someone to convert the animations for $15. Then, after that I'll find a good 70% of the bones don't even work right. Then I'll get trial software and find that it converts 50% of all moving bones.

Frustration!
