I'm trying to check sprite collision with shapes that aren't symetrical, can this be done? For instance, if I have a sprite shaped a certain way, can I get the collision to work on the acctual shape of the image, not the boundingbox of the sprite? :-s

Im afraid DBpro doesn't have pixel perfect collision for sprites as standard so you will have to make your own collision routines. IanM has made some and they were posted in another thread like this.

project: light/obscurance mapper (80% done)

Go here, and you'll find 3 different collision routines

Of course, mines the fastest - although I never did get around to making it more flexible, coz I work in 32 bit all of the time.
