hey all, gotta update my blog later today. think i'm going to strip it all out and start again.

this aside though, given no doubt very few people read it (or even know it exists lol). decided i'd post the content here.

first off, this weekend has been ridiculously busy for me.
work has begun on a new casual game project, that is being aimed at live arcade. the plan was to code it all up in 2 days (i.e. the weekend), but i've ended up focusing too much on the artwork and totally fogetting i need an engine behind the damn thing lol
so today is finish up some template artwork, then code up the engine.

as I want to make it DirectX10 compatible (and the Radeon HD doesn't actually support Dx10 in the drivers yet) will need someone with a Geforce 8-series to lend their system to testing.
also anyone who has a modded xbox 360 (preferably in austrialia where it's legal) then also want a tester for that too.

over the weekend, my focus hasn't been too laser guided unfortunately because I discovered a cool puzzle game by an italian bloke.
it's called Warbears and it's quite sadistic in terms of what you need to do to complete missions. personally find it a very interesting concept and i may end up expanding on it for a later casual game project, but after the one i'm currently working on; will be working on FlyHard for the 360 only.

lastly, i'm looking for someone who would be willing to help get liandri's website finished and online. there's some new things with silverlight and live id i want added, so it would be a good learning experience for web-developers who are already used to php5, mysql 5 and javascript. not looking for anything amazing, just modular, downside is you'd be working with a very demanding person conserning features and code. there is already a framework in-place though so isn't like you'd be working from scratch.

i'll be updating my actual blog probably tonight:
robertlettan.spaces.live.com

should be keeping it more current from now on too. just couldn't be bothered to sort it out right now.

For those of us who are not English, how can we tell a northern accent? Karl Pilkington is from the north, right?

: shrugs : not sure actually. the voices i did though were Jakk and irish guy named Bill plus the mad scientist was adam.

the one with the mad scientist trying to get access to his lab took us an hour to do without laughing through it.

Yes, he has a Mancunian accent. But Liverpudlian, Tyke, Scouse, Lancastrian and Cumbrian are completely different accents again.
