I have a cube that moves around a matrix with the cursor keys. What I want to do is to be able to tell the velocity of the cube when its moving forward, no matter what direction its pointing in. At the moment all I get is positive and negative results depending on what direction I'm facing. I want only positive. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Its exactly the same as finding the distance between two points formula. IE.

Since you now have the distance travelled all you have to do to get the velocity is to divide it by the time taken.
