ok, it's a racing game and its called SuperSpeed, what more can i say? i have 1 screeny at the moment but i will post more. at the moment the view is a bit bad,the car needs to move faster and untill i fix up the model a bit, moves sideways(oh well) i need to make better models and the opponents ai is so bad i posted a shot without him in. but on the bright side i think it looks cool, i've just got Dark ai working so that will get better and the only real problem with the car is the texture, wich i'm working on at the moment!
so please say what you think so far.
BTW demo coming soon.

Actually Blobby 101 i like it! I thought it was a normal racing game didn't know it was a toon shaded racing game

thanks, i've fixed the moving sideways thing and it now won't turn on the spot. the top speed is higher, so now i have to make some new ai for the opponent.
i feel like a checklist!
complete
working on
idea
buggy/wont work.

car movement
cartoon without shaders (so it will work on any computer)
menu system
working views
multiple views
multiple tracks
championship mode
working ai.

as i said the cartoon effect does not use a shader so it will even work on my computer! lol.

i am putting other racers in.
by the 'working ai' i just meant that has still got to be done. i will put it in later. but time trial mode could be quite cool as well, i might put that in.

Can I see a picture of this "shaderless cartoon shading"? I'm not being critical - I am just extremely interested. Have you made a copy of the model, say 1.1x its size, inverted it and coloured it black?


Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

neX: i'll dig up a picture tonight. i'm doing it by taking the model, colouring individual polygons so that i'm not using a texture and then colouring the edge black to look like an outline - it don't look as good real cartoon shading but, heck, it makes it look quite good.
