Has anyone else heard of Flight of the Conchords? These guys are fantastic, they're two guys from New Zealand who do comedic folk-rock. I'd first heard about them in 2005 when they did a stand-up show on HBO, and now they're getting a weekly HBO show (next weekend following Entourage). If you haven't heard them, definitely check them out. They're like Tenacious D, but not as metal-ish, definitely lots of fun. I suggest you find the songs "Jenny" and "Albie the Racist Dragon," they're my personal favorites . I figured some of you might get into these guys if you knew who they were.

I'll have to give them a listen, I love bands like that. Have you heard of Richard Cheese? He's pretty funny, he does covers of pop songs but with a lounge-music sound, like covers of Weezer's Sweater Song as performed in Las Vegas, lol.

I've heard of the umbilical brothers, but haven't heard their stuff yet, I'll need to go and find them. As for Flight of the Conchords, are you sure they're from Australia? I thought they said New Zealand in their HBO special, but then it was a really long time ago so you're more than likely right.

At any rate, I'll definitely take a look at Doug Anthony, the Umbilical Brothers, and Tripod, ty for the suggestions guys

edit: did I miss something? It's showing Indi as a regular user and not a mod... I wouldn't have caught it if not for his little hypnotic video avatar, hehe.

Yes, you did miss something, and someone like you (who is a regular forum-goer) has no excuse to miss something like that

I might have an excuse or two . hehe okay, I actually don't. I'm just not as attentive lately as I should be. With all of the EE and Text Adventure Competition stuff going on, I've been ignoring quite a bit lately. Whatever it was, I'm glad to see it wasn't something that would force Indi to leave the community or anything.

We came up with the unusual punishment of running all his posts through a script that mucks up the spelling and punctuation.

Punishment? For what? See, I missed whatever it was and now I'll be confused whenever someone talks about it, lol. Eh, it's my own fault I suppose. And really, it's none of my business anyway so I shouldn't be prying.

Sorry for the bump, but it made more sense than starting a new thread, hehe. Just wanted to know if anyone caught the pilot episode last week, or if they watched tonight's episode.

It was awesome, in last week's episode during the end credits, they did a binary solo:

Bret: 0000001, 0000001, 0000001, 0000001
Jermain: Oh... oh... oh... oh...

Classic

Oh, and they're definitely from New Zealand Indi, or at least their characters on the show are, the entire episode revolved around how they're from NZ and get mistaken for Brits. But maybe they formed in Australia and got famous of of NZ, not sure.
