I don't know about game play, buy that's an awesome church. I just love religious horror. I think I have some demonic music if you need it.

The alter area should have a couple of steps up, and perhaps some pews in the balcony as well.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

This looks fantastic; you should consider a standard 1-player game that incorporates this as well, as it's such high quality.

It looks great, although there should be some windows on the side aswell. Churches are also supposed to be shaped like a cross, so you might want to try modifying the shape a bit. Anyhow, nice work, but lose the blue lighting. A nice browny/orange would work much better.

P.S. I think it should be MP only because it is too small for single player.

I also have just tryed to join a host and get "waiting to join" screen. I am lost with this and all the MP lately are doing this, I gess this was just a waste of time and I'll take this to bug board!

EDIT: Done a search for this "BUG" on bug board b4 I post, many threads devoted to this issue so I did not post anything but saying that I only got this problem once I started using 1.05 update. omg

RE EDIT; Ok you will not believe this guys but I hosted one game, minimised and launched the game again and joind my own host on same computer and connection and you know what, it works, bit laggy but works. So im thinking firewall?

RE RE Edit; nvm its a firewall problem just ownd xplosys in a game! xplosys you right need more players, map will take 6! also will light it up1

Someone named Stephen was hosting a little while ago and I was able to get right into a match with him, but my antivirus started going berzerk so I got out.

Not sure what that was about.

X,

Yeah, I like the map but it's a little dark for a multiplayer. Be nice if we had more players. X and I just killed each other to death. I needed a break. lol

Best.

Sounds good and no need to repent

Ok so the feedback I got so far;

- Make the map lighter
- 1 more platform
- extra rooms

BUT B4 I change I would like to know some more options and ideas?

Hmmm. My memory is a little different. LOL

As for the light level, can you adjust it using the keyboard like with SP games? If so, I don't guess you need to lighten it up. I didn't try that.

I'm just saying this from memory and these are not problems, but observations.

-On the upper level, the columns and half walls are entities and offer no cover from enemy fire. Other than those, there are no walls on the upper level except the outside ones.

-The main level is basically the same, with no cover except for ducking into the stair wells. The pews and columns offer concealment but no cover.

-The basement has halls but could be expanded with additional rooms? Basically, it's just halls that lead to the stair wells.

The map is fun and great looking.

I was thinking it might add more to gameplay to add a couple of small rooms off the sides of the alter and back out by the stair wells. See attached image.

Best.

Some nice ideas xplosys.

I did not know entities did not offer cover wow, i'll work on that!

- I will add some storage rooms in basement. what about a secrit passage that brings you out to small cemetery yard?

- I have added a tower room on upper platform and a window looking over the the church (my add sniper gun there) i also like the idea of the room on ground floor, what u think of linking that to tower room so there more than 1 way to get up there? See attached image.

EDIT; @xplosys thanks for link

Yes, excellent idea. The more paths, the better, especially when more players join the map. Otherwise, everyone ends up in the main hall and it's a stand-up shoot-out. LOL

Best.

You know, xplosys was saying how entities don't provide cover - and I think I know why. If they were part of the map it would be impossible for the bullets to get through (at least the way FPSC does it). The reason is the entities are dynamic - but immobile. Immobile entities still function in multiplayer (try Bond's camera or the MP2 unhooked phone and you'll see). To get them as part of the level, we simply do this:

Go to File->Preferences. Now click the little bubble for Single Player. Right click on all your entities and set Static to True (or Yes, I forget which FPSC uses off the top of my head). Now go to File->Preferences and select the bubble for Multiplayer.

I'll be sure to include that in my soon-to-be-released multiplayer guide. That's also why I always design my multiplayer maps as singleplayer first, so I get control over those things.

I built in multiplayer mode and the entities where set to static to begin with, will i still have to set to single player then back to multiplayer?

The columns are static entities should i try and build as segments or do the above?

X Games - In multiplayer, it says EVERYTHING is static. Are your guns static? Didn't think so - anything immobile is excluded from the level, unless specifically set to static. That's why a crate should block bullets, but possibly those short walls don't.

On the short walls, it could just be that the walls are actually blocking the shots, but the engine is still counting any hits above the player (the engine does not distinguish between standing and crouching) as hits when the player is crouched.

That Was one heck of a map, I just spent 20 minutes thinking of different attack plans, just a couple of notes. make the window in the tower bigger, so that the player can jump through it, I mean whats better then to jump into a gunfight from the sky with dual ingrams blazing, and screaming "You wanna pray? pray this!"? also If you could, could you add footsteps? I mean it feels kinda odd not having any sound follow you around.

X Games, the map has more lag than the first one. It seems worse around the stairs in the main level.

I noticed it while playing alone as a host too. Don't see what could be causing it but when I walk around between the bottom of the stair wells and the pillars on the main level it's bad. Did you add something below that area that could be causing it?

Best.
