Basically what are the best (Free) forums?

one with cool looking skins and lots of features.

I personally like and have invision board. PhpBB is also very nice, but I've found it gets a lot more spam than Invision board which I've just switched over too. Both are free and have a great range of features.



A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

PhpBB gett's hacked like a crazy!!! invisionfree is really nice, but for my company i use aceboard, NEVER got hacked.
but there is a thread reguarding this kind of. hope it can help you....s

Invision probably. It is stable and safe, unlike PhpBB, and user-friendly.

I've been very impressed with SMF - though my previous forums were phpBB2, so that's all I can compare it with.

SMF is miles ahead of phpBB2 in terms of maintenance options and security.

It's also free, but there again, aren't they all?...
