I just finished a game on my Graphiing Caculator, Ti-83 Silver Edition. It's a number game, but boy was getting used to that calculator hard! I was just wondering if anyone has made any games on it?

yea, made a few text adventures, it was really fun. Something to do in math class when work was done . Our teacher even encouraged it.

That's where I got interested in programming back in late seventh grade.

Surprisingly, all of my TI programs are still uploaded to ticalc.org: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/authors/71/7146.html

Though I don't really write any more programs for the calculators, to the dismay of my bored friends in their math classes, TI-Basic is really useful to write your own routines to help quicken the work done on exams and such. I must have close to 100+ such programs on my current TI-89.

you had to get grid paper and isolate 4 squares of 2 rows.
8 pixels across

then design a character or thing by colouring in the squares.

this allowed you to look up a hexidecimal table in the back of the manual for each 4 pixels per say.

then using CALL CHAR you would build up the single colour sprite and then move it around with CALL JOY.

Yeah, I've been making TI programs for three years. My latest (and best) game is Saca. You can download the demo free... I generally charge $1.00 for the full version at my school (no paypal or anything for it - the market's not large enough ). And before you laugh, everyone who has purchased it is satisfied with it. I haven't made much money, though . If anyone plays it here, I'll give you the full version free.

I've got version 1.6 out... I need to upload it.

I made lots of programs that solved things in math and chemistry. I still have a program that, upon entering a wavelength, frequency, or energy level, outputs the other two and tells where the ray falls in the electromagnetic spectrum. It'll even tell you what color light it is, if it is actually light.

It's so fun to make programs that do tedious work like that for you, and I don't entirely know why, especially when it would be shorter just to do the work in the first place.
