i have a Intel Warm Springs WS440BX motherboard and i have katmia Intel Pentium III, 450 MHz (4.5 x 100) processor. I want to upgrade it to a better processor, but i don't know any compatible processors that can work with my motherboard.

does anyone know what other new and better and processors that might work with my motherboard.

Well, it's only going to be another Pentium 3. Would it be best saving up to replace the processor, motherboard and RAM?

I believe Pentium III went up to 1.2Ghz but what your motherboard supports depends on the clock settings in the BIOS (try holding delete key on boot or it may be one of the F-keys).

A 3D Card will help too.

I have a PIII-1.2Ghz with nVidia 6200 and it's fast enough to play War Rock and GTA3

But like John said sometimes it's cheaper to get rid and buy a new one :p
