Ho-ly crap.

That's running on a DS.

This is as graphically amazing (relatively) as COD 4!!

Finally a FPS that builds on the amazing work done by Metroid Prime Hunters. Well I suppose technically its a third person shooter, but let's not split hairs...

This is a dream come true - Sniper rifle! Drivable Vechicles! Team mates! Tanks driving through walls! Big outdoor areas! EXPLOSIONS!!!

The video is on http://www.gametrailers.com.

Now please, PLEASE port HL1...

It's not that graphically impressive IMO, not nearly as impressive as Hunters, but it's pretty cool, they certainly did a lot on the DS.

Personally I think what kills it is the linear nature of BiA, if it was more free-roaming then it would be amazing.

I'm actually glad there's finally a frenetic shooter. I expect it'll basically be a corridor, yeah, but then it'll be 100% action rather than Metroid's more explore-y gameplay.

Not saying either is better, just that Hunters is more of an FPS Adventure where as this looks all-guns-blazing.

Graphically I would just give it the edge over Hunters... maybe not its pretty close. This just has much more dynamic enviroments.

i prefer hunters, this doesn't play that well in my opinion, sure it looks, ok, but hunters feels more natural, the gameplay on this is really restricting.

Shame it could have been something, at least it might make developers get off there arse and try to push the ds a little more.

I think the smoothing on Hunters' pad look movement is nothing short of game wrecking and makes it near enough impossible for me to get a good shot in. I prefer the sharp, instant reactions of other games such as Goldeneye. Which does this game use? I am considering purchasing it.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

Too bad it's getting bad reviews

Am I the only one that prefers linearity in games? I want a beginning, a middle and an end. I loved COD2, which was very linear. The environments were all very different, and after beating it I had a sense of accomplishment. With an open-ended game I always have the nagging feeling that I'm missing out on something cool happening elsewhere.

Yeah, when done right, a good plot line is worth following - but what I dislike is the pace being dictated to me, I like my handheld games to go at my pace. Tanks are the worst - like by level 3 your in a tank, fighting other tanks, and as much as I like tanks and appreciate the ability to get in them and cause some trouble, well being stuck in a tank for a whole level is just dull. The annoying thing is that you start the level, run over and get in your tank, and you can't get out again until you've done all the objectives.

I'd love to see this sort of game go more free-roaming, I know they'll never make Battlefield work on a handheld, but having a little freedom to explore is vital in these games, and that's missing from BiA DS.

If like touch of the dead as well - completely linear to the point where you don't get to walk yourself. I'm not a freaking cripple, I have a thumb and a direction pad, I could easily move myself!. These games are being dumbed down too much, considering what the DS is capable of and it's age, well I'd like to see more freedom and maturity for once.

Wow, I just played a few missions of this on my DS. Fan-bloody-tastic. Anyone else played this yet? It's so good!

Remember that argument about which was best DS or PSP?

LOL you'll know for sure which is the best hand held when you play the PSP version

PSP Reviewers don't even consider this game/graphics out of the ordinary so only rate it 7/10.

PSP is not a good FPS platform. The analog stick is on the wrong side, for one thing. The DS was made for FPS and 3rd person games

There's the best graphics, and the best handheld console. The DS is the best handheld. Even though the PSP is capable a lot more graphics wise, the DS still has better games and is more fun to play.

I agree with jeku that playing FPS games on the PSP is terrible compared to the DS. I've played a few very good RPG's on the PSP, but they were in japanese and were not going to be translated... so meh I lost all interest in the PSP at that point.

Sure there is GTA... but I have that for the PC and PS2 so kinda pointless for me to buy it really.

to be fair though, i bought the psp version, and as sweet as it looked, the gameplay sucked big time. I prefer the psp over the ds anyday however the psp controls are just not cut out for FPS gaming
