Ok so i made this colt in milhape and animated it. I put it through a converter and it made a Colt.x file. Then I went to the ww2 gun folder and made a copy of the colt45 folder that comes with FPSC. Then i deleted the files VWEAP.X and HUD.X. I renamed my Colt.x to VWEAP.x AND HUD.X. Then I made a game in FPSC using my wepon and everything worked fine except I cant see the gun...

Possible reasons I think might have caused this:
1- The gun has no texture.. and in the gunspec file it says use texture cause i just copied the colt45 files.

2-I need to rotate my gun to make it appear.

3-When i was animating the gun.. I didnt do the reaload animation. i attached my gun model if you want to check that.

4-I created and animated everything in milkshape the i exported it as a .obj file i imorted the obj into anim8or and then exported it as a 3ds file adn then converted the 3ds to a .x using conv3ds.exe and i used the -A option. But when i went back to open the .obj in Milkshape it wasnt animated... (I just realised that Milkshape can directly export to a .x) SO which one is it or what cuased it THZ alot guys.

NOTE: i didn't change the gunspec file AT ALL

It's not positioned. You need to tweak the hud position values for it to appear correctly...

Or, you could use Weapon Creator... It features a built in positioner. =D

Yeah, it still can be positioning. I have never tried importing a weapon, so my advice might not be worth anything, but I say just play around with the gunspec until you get something.

No. But you're not only one who'd like to try it...

Make games, not war.

You can download various parts of it (like the muzzleflash positioning part of it) from the weapon creator threads and try them out.In this instance there should be no need for a demo.

Inspire is dead on, it could still be a problem with positioning.

I'd love to provide a free trial, But I really don't know how that's possible. More or less, the only part that you would gain anything from having tried by hand is the Hud Positioner, and you can download a demo of that on my website.

Like Fred Said,
