Hey guys.

I tried to watch the "Sound Zone" tutorial video on the site--much to my dismay, it loaded the "Hurt Zone" tutorial. I clicked the "Hurt Zone" tutorial hoping it would bring up the "Sound Zone," thinking maybe they were switched, but alas another "Hurt Zone" tutorial.

I am just looking at how to trigger an mp3 to play when you walk over the zone. I selected the song but I'm guessing something else needs to be changed as well seeing as it didn't work with that and the "If Used" box is empty =P

Thanks for reading--any help would be awesome.

I'm not sure if FPS Creator supports mp3 format, but if it does, put the song/sound in the audiobank then select it in Sound0

FPSC doesn't support MP3...
you will need to convert your sounds to WAV or OGG
one cool and simple tool for this is Audacity

But you won't need to know much about sound zones... once you pass throw it, the default script starts (per default soundinzone.fpi) and the sound in sound=$0 (means the box where you browse for your sound in the editor) is played.

You can also open the FPI file and enter the sound location there (it must be stored in the audiobank folder and you must write sound=audiobank\YOURSOUNDLOCATIONHERE).

Hope that helped

Awesome!

I was able to get it working after using Audacity and converting it to WAV format then placing the file in the folder.

As for the MP3--I swear the instructor said in the "Story Zone" video tutorial FPSC supported them too as a sound file option

Thanks for the help!
