So I wanna put a texture on my gun. So after I save the UV map its is in .bmp. I edit the UV map and i save it. Then do i put the filename of the .bmp as the texture inside the gunspec???3 Cuase usualy it is a tga or dds or w/e. I just wana know id putting the .bmp file in the texture value in the gunspec is right thanks.

Ha , that's why the forums are for.
Yes , you can convert it with paint , simple open it and save as jpg.
But you realy have to read the Fpsc doc. and the weapon tutorials.
They goin to explain most of your problems.

Maybe i didnt explain right. I added the UV map in milkshape and it worked i saw the texture but when i exported it to .x and put it in the gun folder nothing the texture was gone. Do i need to add it to my gunspec? With texture or do i need to put the map in the same directorty as the gun?

Don't bump your thread so soon.Give people a chance to answer.I'd swear a forum search could answer this question. You do have the texture in the folder with the weapon and that specific texture is specified in the gunspec file...right?

I spose I can answer this. Put it in the same directory as the gun, and if that fails, name it the same as the .x file. I also suggest using either targa or dds maps.

OK I have a new problem The texture only shows up on the HUD. Not on the enemy. to make the Texture appearon the HUD, in Milkshape I added the texture and expoted it as a .x file. And the texture part in the gunspe was left empty. And still the HUD showed the texture and theenemy didnt? Yes both .x files are the same files with different names. Sorry if i'm bugging you guys with my nooby questions.

When you made a gunspec you have to put the name of your texture in it.
Like if you use REMINGTONMAP.bmp texture you have to put that in your script.

i hope you got my point And you realy have to read the tutorials that people have made.
