You want to know how to browse directories or load files? (If files, which ones specifically?)

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

i want to know how to do both, when loading files i want to load music files, but if it's not too much trouble it would be helpful to know how to learn to load 3d formats too such as .x!

Thanx

I don't see how loading files could be too difficult, just the browsing the directories part (or retrieving a list of them).

Don't know exactly lcfcfan, try something like (just as a simple way)

In my tired little head right now if you put "c:program filesimagesimage.jpg" that should load the image to bitmap 0 (0 = the display screen) I dunno though, I'm very tired right now and aren't a brilliant DB/DBP programmer.

check the code snippets board TDKman and I shared some advice regarding our own prefabbed ones and It looks like he has made a nice example that runs both DBC and DBP.

I don't know any sorry lcfcfan, but the code I supplied earlier, just replace image with bitmap and it should work.

As for the browsing code, do what Indi suggested.

Or you could try fiddling around with the FILE commands, open up the commands/help html page and find the commands section FILE.

Try using such commands as DIR, DRIVELIST etc.
