I don't know how I feel about this just yet. I love Fallout, it's pretty much the only RPG I've ever fallen in love with (or could tolerate, lol). But I love the isometric POV, I'll definitely miss that. I just hope it has multiplayer, they don't sacrifice the map size, and the non-linear design structure isn't messed with... if they don't do any of these, I might have a hard time getting into it. I've wanted multiplayer in Fallout forever (not counting the Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel MMO), literally the only problem I had with Fallout 1 and 2. And I swear, if I don't see dogmeat show up in this game I'm burning down Bestheda!

In the article i read the team that is making it are all fan boys of the original fall out, they hinted a dog being in the game but did not elaborate on it. There is going to be a 3rd person "over the shoulder" type of view as well, don't know how its all going to work but i bet Bestheda won't let us down.

It does look quite good, and for all those who need some convincing let me grab you with the tagline that game infromer got me with. "A nuclear catapault, what more do you need?" And its true, who doesn't want to see some nuclear destruction n their hands once in a while? Well yea, i'm rambling sorry I"m tired.

I bought the first two fallout games not long ago, the first wouldnt run correctly and the 2nd got kind of boring, really fast.

But the third looks quite good, kinda like 'In cold blood'. Just hope this third one doesnt have a turn based attack mode, because that sucked imo.

No fallout 3 is going to have "continuous" turn base, So you'll still have turns and all, but everything will happen in real time and your turns will regenerate really quickly...

I think they are going for the feel of fallout tatics turn system.

I guess, sort of like Final Fantasy XII, where the whole turn based system is sped up and you've got much more freedom than before?

More liek your turns regenerate at a rate where you can still run turn and shoot all at the same time but you might get like 2 shots off before you can only keep running and turning...

But they also have a targeting system too where you can pause the game and target a part of the enemys bodie you want to hit, so say you hit a robot in the head, you might damage its cpu. Or hit a super mutant in the arm he might hit you with less force, of course this ability to break enemys legs arms etc can also work on you =\...i remember getting hit with a steel pipe in the first fall out and the game said "left arm broken" they are going for something similar.

Hope i explained that well, because thats about as well as i can explain it.....

Oh man, I forgot about that... I want to get blinded, but how could they pull that off? I guess it would just doup your stats like it did before, still would be awesome to see some sort of blurring effect, like that drunk driving mission in GTAVC.

in 1 and 2 you can get shot in the eye and be blinded, it doesn't blank out your screen, but it hits your stat points HARD.

I can't wait, a bit sceptical about the 3rd person view, really do miss the old school 2d iso style, and they better have dogmeat and preferably sulik or a descendant thereof.

Im looking forward to the FPS view, I'v wanted a FPS view in fallout for flipping ever but i as well liked the ISO view too.

In 1 and 2 i'v had everything happen to me been blinded broken a arm and leg at the same time etc.

If you've been blinded, then how didn't you know what I was talking about . Unless you don't know about Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and were asking why I was referencing that... there's a mission in there where you have to drive Phil the one-armed bandit, but you're drunk on moonshine... very awesome mission, and I think Fallout would be 10x better if they had some sort of visual effect to simulate stuff like that. Like, if I OD on Rad-X or Buff pills, or if I'm blinded, I should literally see a change on the screen.

I think it was the way you explained it or maybe i skipped a few words...but either way i played it but never did the missions i just liked messing around =P

Im sure they'll have some kind of motion blur or effect of the likes.
