I've been making alot of custom segments now lately since I've downloaded Signs IV, but how can you retexture a character? I've seen this happen alot of places. Can anyone help me?

Open the entity bank and replace the .dds of which ever one that you want. Search for texture converter so you can turn it into a tga and back.

More specifically, say you want to edit "AI (Assault)". Go to program files -> the game creators -> files -> entitybank -> scifi -> characters and open the file "AI (Assault).fpe" with a text editor like notepad. Find the line that says "textured" and rename the file to whatever texture you want to change it too, preferably in tga or dds format.

Wait, how'd you make the texture fit the character perfectly? And how I'd make the texture? I'll tell you what I'm trying to do: I'm trying to retexture a character to look like a police officer.

Best Advice is to try re-texturing simple objects like crates and such, then move onto characters. Once you've mastered the basics, work upto the advanced.
