Hi.

If anyone is interested, I'm a music composer and looking to get my work noticed. I'm no professional, I don't own any profesional studio equipment, but I try not to let these limitations prevent me from composing good music. If anyone is looking for someone to compose music for their games then please feel free to contact me for more details. I'm not in it for the money, so I don't expect to get paid for my work, just as long as my name is mentioned somewhere in the credits. I've attatched a short composition of my own, this was composed using nothing more than a free sequencer and some free samples, so just keep in mind the given circumstances.

Thanks,
TDT_99

Maek a s0ngn for me!

it has to b 97 minits loong and 2 minitz wide and sound really reel and kool!!

Moral is; be carefull being so generous or you might get over your head with requests like the one above.

I also compose music, it often takes alot of work and it's really inspiring to see someone do it for free. I have composed about 20 songs, but none of them are fit for games. I just can't create game music, even if i got paid for it.

That track you posted was good, a typical game song. Sounds like something from goldeneye. Reminded me of it atleast.

I wouldn't get over my head about such requests. I don't expect anyone to rely on me to compose the music for their game if it's too big a project. I'm only looking to work for small projects, just so that I can gain some experience. I would like to work for the video game industy as a music composer in the future. Thanks for your feedback though.

Hey TDT_99, I'm certain you'll find a good project. If I wouldn't have a musician ánd backup for Seadome, I'd look into your services. The sample sounds very Golden Sunnish - which is good. Just keep looking in the WIP forums and mail the interesting projects.

I think Grandmas point was, a load of people might request your skills and it'll all go to waste. I'd love to write music for peoples game projects too, but nobody ever finishes anything! So if you write some tunes for someone saying "yezorzz! I need a battle track pweeese!" you can pretty much gaurentee the game will never get made and your time and effort will go to waste. You probably won't even hear your tune in a rolling demo.

Don't waste your time and effort matey. Make sure if anyone asks you to write music for them, you tell them you'll do it when they have some sort of rolling demo, alpha version, or anything so your tune can go into it and be heard straight away. Otherwise you can be 99% sure it'll never get used and you'll have wasted your time.

I think people aim too high, basically, everyone has their dream FPS\RPG\MMORPG etc game they wish to make. If only some could settle for games such as Echoes, there would be a large library of completed, small yet fun, innovative games. I don't blame them though, i have probably aimed too high with my dream FPS too, It haez Teh coop adn 4,000 Levulz and obvliviun graphix!

Yeah, I always aim too high to. The best game I've ever made is Big Fat Ice Football 2. That took me about a day or two to do pretty much everything, and at uni, it got played by me and my housemates for at least an hour every day. It was played more than all the other commercial games we own, because it was so much fun in multiplayer.

Simple innovative concepts are the best route for indie developers if they want to actually finish games. We should all try a bit harder to make our goals realistic.

Hmm. I disagree, I'm aiming extremely high with Seadome and everything seems to roll quite well. I attracted musicians (without a demo) and I've got everyone working quite stable as we speak.

I assume, at least, I hope, Seadome is an exception, to the rule posted above. I agree most projects here just seem to die one day...

Good luck Rami. 99% (rough guess!) of people who try big projects never get them finished, but there are definitely exceptions. Hopefully you'll be one of them mate. Cash is another example of a 'potential' completed big project. He think he's going to finish it, but what he doesn't realise is the DBPro gamespace continuem conflicts with finished projects of that magnitude, and the closer he gets to completion, the harder it will get as a gamespace paradox closes in. Eventually, the game will become so massive, like a dying star, that it will implode in on itself, resulting in just another version of pong.

At least, that's my theory.

I like that theory Fallout. Hey imagine reversing it...

Mwuhaha I made pong...wait...what's this? *computer screen flashes blinding white then fades back*
Wow...an FPS/RGP/MMO/RTS/Platformer hybrid with 4000 levels and better graphics than gears of war...

Thanks for your kind words.

Pricey, I would be glad to compose some music for your game. Just send me an email and give us a link to the demo when it's ready. The same goes for everyone else, if you're developing a small project that requires music then I'll do it for free. Thanks.

Please contact me if you are looking for someone to compose the music for your games.
