Before FPI, I programmed GML, another programming language but far more expanded then FPI. FPI doesn't have much conditions nor actions, especially target functions.
So maybe a more experienced FPI programmer could explain me (if possible) how I can check if a target is within a distance (target is not the player), and how you can check if the entity sees the target.

Reading the manual that comes with FPSC will tell you all that.

use the settarget and activatetarget functions
