^ I'm thinking of getting it. It exceeds what I was looking for, except in processor speed. I was hoping for more. But what do you all think?

I could probably buy parts and build the system for half that price. You are basically paying for the brand name.

I did a power search at new egg for exactly what I was looking for and got two results. I'm reading some of the reviews on one of them and it seems people are saying it's a great machine but you could buy all the parts yourself and put it together and save yourself $1,000. I don't know shyt about putting a computer together so I'm unsure what to do. Anyone have any insight that may be of help to me?

These are the two computer's my search turned up:

New Egg doesn't ship internationally. *Frown* And all the Australian sites to buy custom computers only go up to 1 GB of RAM and I want 2. *Frowns again*

Don't know how that can't be what you expect in processor speed. That's a pretty beefy CPU - won't get much better for anything like that price really.

Thats actually a very decent computer. I wanted to get this:
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=BROWSE&N=200005+401443&Ne=400000&product_code=346300&Pn=Aspire_E700_UQ660A_Minitower

And then I wanted to put a 750Watt PSU in it and a BFG Tech OC 8800GTS 640MB. I'm not sure if the case would hold an 8800gts. I really want to know, because it would be so cheap to do all this. Does anyone know if that case could hold an 8800GTS?

Heres the psu I may put in it:
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=BROWSE&N=200089+502529&Ne=502522&product_code=342491&Pn=ToughPower_750_Watt_ATX_Internal_Power_Supply_Unit

And heres the gpu:
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=BROWSE&N=200105+4294966731+4294964573+4294964571+4294964376&Ne=303827&Ns=display%5Fprice%7C0&product_code=344746&Pn=GeForce_8800_GTS_OC_Video_Card

(forum wouldn't let me make my last link )
