Maybe it's the quality of your work or the rudeness in your first post.
You shouldn't charge anything for this.

you want to make segments made from different shapes, what these are are straight block sections and one with an arch in it, then a bunch of textures put on them, now if you are selling make something that is more difficult for the user to make, as fpsc user can take textures of the net, or make some simple tex and put them on 2 shapes in the segment editor, now if you had a pack with all different shapes, (not stock ones) then that would be of interest to more people I think.

Yeah, you can get these textures for free on the web. People aren't going to buy textures that they can make or get their self. And so far you have only show us a few rooms of textures. I wouldn't buy it unless I see all of them because for all I know they could just be plain colors.

people cannot get these textures for free on the web, and if you really want, I will make more stuff, like terrain, on screen text, different segments and stuff like that. But if I added all that I would probably have to charge $8-$15.

Whatever.I am just trying to tell you that what you have shown so far sin't worth buying.Don't forget that just because I am a mod I am also a fellow developer as well and you should look at me doing you a favor here.I'm being honest. What you have shown so far isn't worth buying. If some people say they look nice...that's fine.People vote with their wallet.
In case you're not familiar with forum history any time that someone has put out something for sale that wasn't worth buying, etc. somebody else has made a better pack for free.
Now what you need to do is improve on your work before you try to sell segments.I can make a segment in seconds so for you to sell them they had better be top of the line.
Two other things to note:
1. Just because I am a mod does not mean that I do not have an opinion and/or that I am not allowed to express it.
2. Don't be so darn sensitive. You're better off having people tell you the truth and suck it up and get better than to keep putting out the same old stuff.

I made the mistake when I first started on these forums of trying to spoonfeed people and it was a mistake.Nobody learns from it and it doesn't do anybody any good.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

And heres a tip for you:
Stop using paint to do your textures!

why not make a pack no one has done, how about a castle pack, a fantasy model pack is in the works so a castle pack would not be out of the question, now that done correctly would bring in interest.

Or a pack with all kinds of beveled shaded sci fi rooms and entities to add on the rooms sides, all those jutting bits and pieces that stick out, just simple shapes to add to segments.

Both of these would sell I think.

But they are free textures that would could easily use instead of buying your pack. Your pack needs to be different then others because I don't see why I should buy 48 textures when I could get 76 for free in this thread:

How entertaining...

Quote: "If I were you I wouldn't be talking, its not like you've made anything worth selling.

As far as the first point goes I have made some good stuff. You have your opinion and all but I have a website with a lot of models available on it and some are better than others. And I am not attempting to sell my stuff so your argument is invalid.

As far as the second point...In case you have missed the occassional thread where I have posted this before I generally use a combination of Gimp and Texture Maker to do my textures...although if for some reason I decide to I'm not above using paint if it meeds my immediate needs.
There's no need to make this personal (or make the attempt to do so since I rarely take anything personal).I posted what I posted as advice to you and it was my personal opinion.
Maybe you should go back through my thread in the Showcase forum and look at some of the models again.I made them for free and donated them to anyone who wishes to use them.I think some of them aren't half bad.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

There's nothing wrong with it.That's just what people say around here when they knock someone's textures

"It looks like you used Paint"

It comes down to the atrist not the application.

On my website I also give away free models, and I've looked at every single model you made and here's my honest feedback:

1. I like your hand drawn textures better because they look cartoony.
2. Some of your models are to flat.
3. Your weapons are nice.
4. You made A LOT of models
5. I think you are probably at the same level as me when it comes to modeling.

P.S. I am sorry for being so angry but in the second post you wrote you were like "These aren't worth selling, your so bad at modeling, I could make these textures in 5 seconds" So I had a reason to be angry. Because you were just criticizing without any constructive criticism.

Wow, I can count the photoshop/gimp/PSP effects in those textures.
Come on man, give it some soul! These barely make any impression at all, let alone stand up to commercial quality, no offence. Look around for some texturing tutorials and try to leave the cloud-filter be for a while, google is your friend.

wow, harsh critics, what I would do is aim for filling open gaps in the market, there is already a lot of urban stuff already, fill gaps that are not done yet, like I said before sci fi shapes or castle type stuff, modern urban we have lots of that type of content, doing new shapes will sell as even if the textures are not the best, as long as they are UVed right one can change the textures, so they act as a base for other projects.
