What is your definition of 'a lot'? Most popular apps have been updated, or just work fine. Vista has a compatibility mode you can set for different apps, and I have a lot of things set to run in XP mode. In my experience, almost everything works fine.
Hope this helps!

Milkshape runs fine on Vista, I've tried it. Dont use FPSC but DBPro runs fine so I don't see why it wouldn't. Never used Paint.NET but considering it uses .NET it should run fine.
