Need some ideas folks!

I fancy finally working on something really special but need ideas, so my question is:

What game would you like to see developed for DB PRO? could be anything, an existing game, a completely new idea etc...

I'm thinking about 2-3 years development, so needs to be worthwhile otherwise I'll get bored haha

I think unless you come up with your own designs, you wont get very far (well, not 2 or 3 years anyway)

Oh, and hey! You aint stealing my idea!

I think 2 to 3 years is plenty of time, it's all to do with design which will determine if it takes you longer than expected.

I'm not planning on stealing anyones ideas, it will be a free game, I just wanted to find out if anyone would like something created in DBPRO that everyone thinks can't be done etc...

Well, you could come work with MISoft on one of our top-secret projects, like "Project Sewer Rat" or "Project Domesticated Ferret." But we'd make you sign contracts (including an NDA) and we're releasing both of these games by the end of this year, so if you're looking for a slower-paced learning environment, this won't be an option worth looking into, hehe. But feel free to email me if you're looking to work on something .

Now I feel dirty, like I made a team request .

not a mmorpg.

something that has an unusual but intuitive control mechanism or unfamiliar style of play. Big studios are just going to keep making formats they know will work, so they can guarantee profits. You aren't bound by that need, so make something new.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

Do something that can fit in your time space and do something different. Perhaps, I dunno, something less violent or reaction based, play with people's intelligence or something to get them thinking...but not a puzzle game. And a plot to keep an interest perhaps

But really only you can come up with the ideas for your project, but if you want to muse with us, then there that's my in put to see if that makes you come up with something. Personally I have a lot of game ideas, most people interested in game making do, which is why it's odd that you're posting this question.

for for the mods info, this is not a team request thread, I can't be a$$ed with all that rubbish, just wanna know what someone want to see, what would be COOL to see in DBPRO, that's all folks

and um.... NO MMO's arggghhh!!!!

why is it odd? I have ideas mostly point 'n' click adventures as that's what I prefer but I was interested to know what someone would like developed in DBPRO, whether they thought of something that they couldn't do and would like someone else to achieve it.

How about a game where the object of the game is to come up with game ideas?

That'd be awesome.

I'd play it

Virtual X,
It was a bit of a joke. I was pointing out that noone will want to give up their idea for someone else to make, etc.

I have a great idea for a game you can make.

Ok picture this...

These odd shaped blocks come onto the screen, perhaps from the top, and start to fall to the bottom of the screen. You can move the shapes from side to side using something like um... arrow keys or something. Maybe you can even rotate them! That would be cool.

As the shapes go towards the bottom, you have to stack them and fit them together to get points. Or maybe they have to form a line of shape pieces and then the line of shape pieces will dissapear and you get points. Dunno. You decide on which method might be best.

Also, you could do something like making the shapes fall faster and the game gets harder? Like if you complete levels or something.

To top it all off, you can play japanese music to really make the gameplay intense! Or... HEY! Russian music! Now that wold be cool!

Just make sure it takes you 3-4 years to program it and it's guaranteed to get finished.
