It (DarkBASIC Professional) is not a game, it's a programming language.

Yes, it's great, so long as you are prepared to learn programming and you want to program a game.

(oh and for all intents and purposes ignore the word Professional, it just is basically saying you can create professional quality applications, not that you have to be professional to use it...)

Hey RPG Maker Man, welcome to the forums.

DBPro's my absolute favorite dev tool, I would be hard pressed to use another. Make sure you download the trial first, that way if you aren't satisfied you won't have wasted 90 hard-earned bucks. Oh and make sure you order from TGC, they have the most awesome customer service, and it makes you eligible for other neat things (like Hands on DBPro Vol 1 & 2 samples). Trust me, I've learned that the hard way.

Yes, Geisha House is a great game and you should buy it

BTW, Darkbasic Pro is a great programming language. Do understand what you're getting before you buy it, it is not a visual game creation system. FPSC is, DBP is what FPSC was made with.
