1. You're farely new here, I wouldn't post content just yet.
2. This program is completely useless due to advanced FPI editors made a long time ago.

I POSTED BEFORE THIS WAS LOCKED!

Much as I wish this is was, it probably wont be, as it does nothing against the AUP or the stickys.

And, you used a wizard for VB. It automatically makes that. You probably just edited the File> Open> And Save> settings to filter out .FPI files."

Sorry buddy, I coded that ALL. It was done on C++ coding, no visual whatsoever. Come on guys, I am just practicing some skill! I am still developing this, and have developed it for other formats too!

Dude, I saw some posts you made on the DB forums, and they didn't seem all too intelligent. You were looking for tutorials on how to make Pong in Dark Basic.

That is because DarkBasic Pro is a new language to me. I know C++ from last year. The new version 1.2.0 (Which will be released today! I decided to skip 1.1!), is programed in Microsoft Visual Studio Basic 6. Come on guys, I just want to learn to program, don't shoot me down!

Dude! I'm serious! Wizards are for amatuers! I coded everybit of that! I told you, I am not trying to steal what you are doing, I am just trying to get better at my coding skills! I have Visual Studio Basic 6, so if you want to team up, we could do that.

EDIT: It still has some bugs, but I am working on my laptop at the minute to get them fixed!

Instead of arguing about who stole whose idea, or whether or not it was made with a wizard, make your programs... And Chief you've been promising us FPI Maker continued since April, it's almost August and I'm pretty sure you haven't made any progress with it yet!

crispex,

Greetings. I, for one, really like what you're doing with this application.

I really wasn't very impressed with the initial version, but like what you're doing with the current version, and pleased to hear about your plans for future versions.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks,

Seth Black

Yeah, WTF is this? All a person REALLY needs in an FPI editor is spellcheck. (Not too good with interfaces, but I did that a while ago)

[rant]
Also, The more something does, the more resources it will usally take... (mostly in the form of variables I THINK... not an expert in that area) Besides, it's really just bad practice. You make a program to do one specific purpose, not as many as possible. Some programs do multiple purposes, but that revolves around the central program, allowing (what is the word? Cohesion?) and stuff. It's hard to explain.

Quote: "1. You're farely new here, I wouldn't post content just yet."

When I initally came here, I wrote an elaborate AI program (actually, I prewrote it... I didn't "bug test it" until a little later). Just becasue someone is new doesn't mean anything.

Oh, and crispex, your program is too small to be trustworthy... and it does look like a VBS program (Or, you downloaded an interface and are kiddy scripting stuff into it). It's easy to test... and I got a signature "microsoft visual c++ 7.0", of course that MIGHT be the install program, but I'm not running it.
[/rant]

Its not who you are or what you've done... its WHY you did it and how far you are willing to go.

It is in Visual Studio 6, but it is trustworthy. The only thing I wouldn't trust on it was the save as .txt file, because it tells you what the font and size you use in the document, have to get that fixed. And I've told people before, it's a Multi-Purpose editing tool, not just for FPI scripts, the only reason it's called FPI Sctipt Editor, is because that is all it featured in the first version.

Dude, enough. I'm tired of you putting me down, I have trouble with explaining things, I am NOT TRYING TO STEAL YOUR IDEAS! I don't care what you do with your programming ability, maybe your jelous, I don't care, if you don't talk about the program, then don't post here! I am sick of your crap, either talk about the program, or don't talk in this topic! Why do you think you are the smartest friging programmer around? You think since you made an application that you are some kind of genius? I don't think I am! So stop flamming this topic with your nonsense that I am copying somebody, and get over it!

@ Xsnip3rX its called 3D game maker lol, hey crispex you seem to be off to a good start but this is a brand new machine and i get runtime error 372, failed to load control "rich text box" from "RICHTX32.OCX". Your version of RICHTX32.OCX may be outdated. make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application. The interface still loads however and I personally think it needs an overhaul it looks like old version of wordpad. Can't really comment on much else as it doesnt run for me

Thanks
