I have programmed in QB and FB for some years know and bought DarkBASIC Classic. I would like to make a racing game on an oval track but have no idea where to start. I would really like a racing demo on an oval track and a car with colision checking. I can do the rest but I need somewhere to start.

Check out the DB Classic Programming Challenges thread on the DBC board.

I created exactly such a program for one of the recent challenges.

Don't worry about the fact that you have DBP and the thread is for DBC as the core version of BASIC in both versions is the same.
