Do you guys think they will ever make it free like they did the first two?

What's the point? It's not that expensive. Plus I would rather pay a tenner to get the game on CD as oppose to downloading 700mb from the internet.

Generally a 1gig download gets down in 2 hours. 700 megs can be finished in 1 hour or less, taking a fast DSL connection.

I hope so, It was one of the best in the series, but i lost my CD a few years ago and haven't replaced it. What i find weird is that they made GTA2 free, but they didn't make GTA London free. London came out before 2.

EDIT: We could start bombarding them with emails suggesting this...

GTA III is good for mods, you can change all the cars and even get a network play mod.

I have not seen it for purchase anywhere lately. Maybe they will release it for celebration of GTA 4.

They have it on the $10 section of software at Target sometimes here...

GTA 3 will probably end up becoming free in the future, but I wouldn't plan on it being any time soon. Maybe three to five years from now, but more than likely not sooner than that (or so I assume).

GTA and GTAII weren't made by Rockstar North, I don't think, they were made by DMA (which later kind of turned into RS)

I recon they gave them away because some part of the contract meant they couldn't make money on them any more.

So why didn't they give away GTA London? It was made on the same engine as GTA 1, before 2 came out. And if they can't make money on it, then why do I see the GTA Classics pack with 1,2, and London in it for sale at walmart for $10?
