Hmm... Need more information than that. Is this a 2D or 3D game? The type of game? Are you looking at making a hole in the ground? Just alittle more info please.

well it will be for a 3d game,i was thinking maybe i could use alot of small objects that are deleted.. ?..

if you are using a matrix you could edit the ground height i suppose. I'm not sure about advanced terrain or other objects, I don't know enough about vertex manipulation.

If I were you though, I'd just use a decal showing dirt flying up and spawn an object when you are finished digging, but I suppose it depends on the game.

hmm... Should be hard!

Do you realy want a hole in the ground or just your character playing a digging animation?
