Is there a scipt that makes a enemy run to a switch and press it?
This would be useful for my game
For example you have to prevent the enemies from sounding the alarm otherwise the game is over.
is it possible?

No, you would have to write one.

Something to the effect of:

The character waits until he sees you
Then follows a waypoint to the switch
Then plays the alarm sound and takes the players health

... unless you can kill him before he reaches it!

There's an activatenear = x command or something like that - don't remember the syntax at the moment. Should be in the PDF manual, I used it to have a zombie kill a German soldier in a test game (we didn't have settargetname yet, not that it would matter since the zombie was technically unarmed)

hmmm... It sounds like you would have to use the waypoint to the switch... and then use a trigger zone with some commands like

:state=0:entitywithinzone=1:"PLRINZONEACTIVATE USED":state=1
:state=1:sound= YOUR DESIRED SOUND HERE.wav,state=2
:state=2:plraddhealth=-1,state=2

then you would copy most of "plrinzoneactivateifused.fpi" all except for the plr commands and put it after "entitywithinzone=1" that should work...I'm pretty sure that "entitywithinzone=x" is a command.

i tried to write such but nothing happened
lets say i need a script that makes an enemy see the player,follow a waypoint to a switch,play the alarm sound and kill the player.
i think thats not so hard to make but unfortunately i cannot write .fpi

change the animate=X value to 5. I'm not very sure if that's the right number, just look in the manual in the script commands

It's in the code snippet in Xplosys' post.
How to use it:
copy the the code, duplicate an existing FPI script, paste the code in it and save with another name.
Then you set it as the main script of an enemy.
