I posted a function that allows you to permanently scale an object. It works with animated and non animated objects. The code was originally written by Lost in Thought and I rearranged it into a user friendly function.

So, I posted it in Code Snippets. Now it's been deleted without so much as a word. Who did this? Upon review I guess that I forgot to put [DBP] in the title. So what? I mean, it's a quality snippet of code. Couldn't a mod have changed the title and asked me to do it next time? An e-mail would have been courteous. As it stands, it appears to be a hasty and petty reaction to a not-so-important rule. It is a useful function and there are many crap snippets that are allowed to exist on that board.

That happened to me with one of my posts on a different board too. I don't understand it either...

I know it's a long-shot, but do you have a link to it (even though it's deleted, if I have the link, I can recover it)?

Awesome Thank Jess T and Chenak!

I certainly don't wish to step on any toes in this matter. I'll put [DBP] on the title line in the future. In the future if I accidentially break a rule like that, Ghost Mod can just let me know. It could have been posted in the thread or e-mailed to me. I'd have been happy to create a new thread with the correct naming convention. My only issue was that it was deleted without notice.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the function. It should be pretty handy for a lot of people.

I guess you were unlucky. I think someone tightened up the rules in the last couple of weeks or so - I submitted a snippet a short while ago and I noticed someone had put the [DBP] tag on for me. Whoever it was "Thanks".

I'm not convinced the new stricter application of the rule is helping - but I agree it's a sensible rule. I just forgot.
