Hi guys,

A shot from my game that's pokeing fun at a situation from my workplace.

This is looking out of the control room into the mixing vat for the 2-4-5-Trioxin.

Story (so far) is this: You're a programmer, sitting at your desk when your boss come up to you and sends you to the comany's manufacturing plant "for a few weeks, to work in stores". Strangely, a workmate was sent there a few weeks earlier, and never seen again. So now it's your turn...

So, the company has decided that making the equipment it use to isn't as profitable anymore, but supplying zombies to willing customers is. Figure out what is happening, defeat the plan manager, and get back to head office to defeat the company owner!

Corney? Yes. Silly? Yes. Fun? Hell yeah!

Original and sounds like fun. I never thought of using the curved segs to mage a giant vat. Nice one.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Hehe, this looks like fun. Can't wait to see if it plays as well as it seems.

Isn't it a pity, now isn't it a shame?

Err... I never thought of using curved segments either. That's a model I made in AC3D, and textured with a rusty metal picture. I scaled it in MagicFPS and imported.

I'll post the model in the Media section later if anyone wants it.

I actually wanted the vat to be the centerpiece here, so the lack of entities is deliberate. But, it could stand some more greebling. I'll get back to it. I've got an industrial pump to model and texture!

It happened to me! Well, minus the zombies. My boss asked me to go to our manufacturing plant "to help out a bit". Said plant is an hour's flight in Melbourne (I live in Sydney). I was there a week, which became two, which eventually became eight. I was running the wharehouse recieving and doing general CRM/ERP system administration (I'm actually a programmer / technical writer). As I was putting stock away one night, I noticed how creepy a darkened wharehouse looked. My imagination filled in the rest.

A very interesting take at a storyline, I must say. I'll be on the lookout for this, sounds like it might turn out a great little game.

A dark, reasonably featureless pump room. I finished the model and the first pass at texturing (man, I suck at texturing) the pump at around midnight last night.

There's a whole lot of things wrong with this layout: the pumps are too clsoe together (I want to put a service gantry between then), there is a lack of detail on the walls (more pipes, and some electrical conduit), and the lights need to be a bit brighter to make the room a bit gloomier. However, it is a first pass, and I'll be redesigning the room over the next day or two.

Edit: The pump room after a redesign. Still needs more entities, though.

Please size down your images. I won't even look at them if they are that big.

@ Inspire,

I'm working on a new model (a zombie conversion chamber; prisoner goes in, zombie comes out); when it's done I'm going to redo all the shots so far, and scales them all down.

@ smith,

Dark is good. Dark lets you hide things. The walls need more thhings, though, so I can cast more shadows.

Workshop where the ZombieMaker 3's are built, ready for export aroud the world to other branches. I'm in the process of busying this one up, then designing the loading docks where the machines are loaded onto trucks.

The next main section of this level will be the medical wing, where prisoners from overcrowded jails are "reprocessed" into zombies. I've also got the beginnings of the subway where fresh zombies are shipped out.
