No you just use notebook.
Make your script.

Save as: FPI.

"Save as..." is a basic Windows function, not an FPSC issue. In notepad:

-from the file menu select "Save As..."
-In the "File name:" dropdown type the filename (eg. filename.fpi)
-In the "Save as type:" dropdown select "All Files"
-Click the Save button.

You will need to have a basic understanding of the Windows operating system in order to use a program to it's potential.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

If you have somehow altered your Windows settings to where the procedure above doesn't work, there is one more thing you can try. Place quotes around the filename before clicking save, forcing Windows to save it as an .fpi file. eg. "filename.fpi" with the quotes.

Best.

What I would do:

- write the script as TXT and copy the whole text
- duplicate one of the existing FPI files
- paste the copied text in the new FPI file
- rename the FPI file and finished

Use FPI Script Editor! I set it up so that you can save them as .FPI files without haveing to use the "Save All File Types"!

just change the file extension on file, change the end that says .txt, to .fpi, that changes it to an fpi file.

Also, make sure that all parameters and states in the script are properly called and/or spelled.
