Hi to all

First of all I hope I've put this in the right place in the forum and that it fine to ask this sort of thing; I don't have much free time to post properly at present.

I'm currently looking at asking someone to construct a brand new very high end PC for me and I was wondering whether anyone has any sugesstions for what to put into to it (graphics cards, software, etc...)

I use my PC for playing and making games and also for number crunching caluclations and rendering scenes.
I have no budget planned, but try not to suggest anything too ridiculous!

Thanks in advance for any sugesstions

well, I'd look at a component vendor's site, and go for everything that is the 2nd teir down.

There's no point in buying the most expensive stuff, as it's not usually worth the extra money, so go for the pricing band just below.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

If you're in for graphics and your budget isn't too shy, spring for the latest Adobe Photoshop (or the entire Graphics Suit if you've got the money), and Softimage XSI. That'll knock you back a little more than a grand though.
