My birthday's coming up So that means I've got some money coming my way! I'm saving some of it for a computer that I'm saving up for, but I'm definately gonna be buying some things from here.

So...what programs would it be best for me to buy?
I already have DarkMatter and Dark Physics.
I'm considering one or two of the following...

-3DWS
-TreeMagik
-Dark Shader
-Dark Lights
-Dark A.I.

Which ones?
And if you know of another product I should invest in, feel free to mention it.
If it helps, I'm most interested in making a level/map editor and eventually something along the lines of an RPG.

Personally, i'd take Dark A.I and 3DWS, I have both, and they're well worth the money.

Yeah I'd agree with Veron, especially considering you want to make an RPG game, these would provide the most useful additions. There is also Wolf's animation plugin too - which would help keep performance up when showing a lot of animated models, and would also save you a lot of time, there's a lot of animation needed in an RPG.

We're going down... in a spiral to the ground...

K, thanks. I think I'm gonna get 3DWS, but for anyone else who looks here, I'm still open to another suggestion; I can buy another thing, too.

I'd suggest Dark AI, because if you ever get tired of programming you can at least go back and entertain yourself with AI minions.

Lol, ya, I'm considering getting that. But TreeMagik and 3DWS also look great, and I can only spend so much money..

What about dark shader? Does anyone have any experience with that? I've been wanting to implement shaders in my projects and Dark Shader looks like it'd help a lot.

Depends on what you want them for, but I would definitely get 3DWS, I just got it and it's great . If you do get 3DWS, then DarkLights is pretty pointless, unless your looking for some real time lights with your game. The first version of TreeMagik is free, so depending on the quality of the models you want, you can just get that. And theres a bunch of shaders in the "Ultimate Shader pack" for free, so unless there's something specific in DarkShader and not included in there, I wouldn't get it . So I'd definitely get 3DWS, and either DarkAI or TreeMagik, depending on which you want more . Just my opinion.

Ok, I think I'll get 3dws and treemagik. I'll wait a little before I get dark ai. Thanks for the help guys! there's so many things to buy here, and its hard to tell whether or not it's worth it.

Dark A.I. and 3DWS. Get those two, they are pretty much the more important tools on your list. You can make your own trees, levels, scenery, ect. in 3DWS and have good awesome AI in your games with Dark AI. Those are the two I recommend the most in your list.

If you do not have a modeling program I suggest you get Milkshape 3d, hey it is only $20. That has to be one of the best purchases I have gotten in a while! Good luck with your choice and happy early birthday!

Dark Shader is good. But there aren't many shaders out there atm for it. It will be great as soon as they release more effects.

Dark AI is a must have, easy AI on demand.
never tried 3DWS, but if you need it to make levels it looks good.

Also you should think about what sort of games you are going to be making. And if you should get eZRotate by WOLF.
Its definitely worth the purchase if you can't use the fiddly Euler commands dark basic uses natively.

I think you should definitely think about Dark AI over Dark Shader though.

Happy Birthday for whenever it is!

Thanks. I use Blender for modelling, so I don't need Milkshape. Dark AI sounds good. I'll most likely get that. I'm thinking about 3DWS and maybe Dark Shader eventually. Thanks for the suggestions!
