Yes, people, for those still stuck in the Outlands and Azeroth, taking on the scourge and battling themselves towards those Epic Flying Mounts, those higher levels and that better gear, we've got good, and bad news.

First of all, the good news. We get to go to Northrend to meet and fight Arthas, who fused in the Frozen Throne to become the Lich King. The bad news, enjoy your best of the best equipment while it lasts. Level Cap up to 80, so your 70 won't be the best. A new hero class, whats with those Draenei and Blood-elves? Those are só 2006.

So, leaving out the WoW-flaming, what do the people on TGC think? Is Blizzard overdoing the expansioning for World of Warcraft, or is this just what we all need to expand our journey through the wonderous continents of The Eastern Kingdom, Azeroth, Kalimdor, the Outlands and soon, Northrend? Is it frustrating that your efforts seem for naught, or do you see a challenge for more, at the roof of the world of Azeroth?

Trailer and Screenies available, this would qualify as a WIP.

Let's try to explain to Uncle Sam:

"Sound cool to me" = He likes the announcement of the 2nd expansion

[since]

"loving the 70 end game" = he enjoys the activities after he has reached level 70, including but not limited to raids, battlegrounds, instances, gearhunting.

"atm" = at the moment [thus he is level 70 and enjoying the above]

"I really should quit tho its crack" = [But] while I should be stopping, I continue playing since it is so much fun.

I never see a difference in WoW expansions you always get...
"Noob"
"WTF"
"I h8 u"
and more...they should say that in the trailers
And pretty much they just make new landscapes a couple of new enemys and then you get the same objects or maybe some new ones and you have to pay money for it!

I was totally anti-WoW until I played it ^^
I played WoW for a very short amount of time (the free test thing or something like this). A huge game, indeed.
But way too expensive for me, i prefer spend my money on other things.

I was the same FireFog. I turned my nose up at it - because of the subscription - until I tried it. Now I can see why people would want to pay for it and why people can get so addicted.

I paid for about 2 months subscription, of which I found myself only playing about 10 hours a week. It wasn't because I wasn't interested in the game, but more because I don't really do a lot of gaming - I tend to find more productive things to do with my time.

Because I didn't think I was getting my 8 or 9 pounds a month out of it, I cancelled the subscription and tried Guild Wars instead - at least with that I can take a break and not have to worry about a subscription for a game I'm not playing.

Recently though, I have been playing on private servers for WoW and even attempted to set up my own for my friends, but all the current emulations seem to be quite slow and buggy.

Mmm. I think I played it for, lets see, 4 months for now. I must admit that creditcard is cheaper and easier (I don't even notice it being deducted, lol) - but me and my little brother share the account so basically it's quite do-able that way. TBC was a fun expansion but I never got to go to the Outlands with my char. Didn't play enough seriously to get to level 58. Far too busy with exams, girlfriend and the like.

My girlfriend is a total WoW addict though, have to call her to timely cancel her raid if I want to go somewhere. I think her little brother was the one of the first Level 70 Draenei Shaman's in the game. Quite cool actually.

A compelling defence.
I imagine everyone playing WoW is alive, but it doesn't mean they actually have a life, as far as the term "having a life" goes.

Heh, fun, really, to see the anti-WoW brigade. It's almost as if talking about Windows... Talk about it and whatever you do, it always ends up in people who don't know the subject talking about it. Deathead, tell me, how long how you played WoW?

And yes, we have a life. Actually, she's coming over from the Netherlands to Egypt for three weeks just to see me (I've been gone for 3 weeks now). So believe me, we're not WoW-nolifers.

Which is really Offtopic, by the way. This was about the expansion.

Umm.. Maybe about a day. And got really bored of it. But I might get it again and try it again. tha_rami what I mean't by why don't you meet up on WoW is if you are too overly stressed from doing Exams and the usual and can't be bothered to go out.

Hehe, naah, she lives 10 minutes away from me, otherwise we might've done that some times - but I like MSN more (webcam/voicechat ftw), actually.

Yeah, better way to chat. Because then you don't get "Noob" etc. getting typed all the time.
