hey all
im in a bit of a pickle. I need to do a solo for music at school and its got to be a jazz song. I play guitar and bass so im not sure what to play. Can you suggest some good jazz songs i could learn to play.

learn to play "Chameleon" by Herbie Hancock

SUCH an amazing funky jazz fusion bass line
and if you're any good you can improvise like crazy over it

sounds good slap / finger styley!

Play a guitar version of Bud Powell's "Wail".

Ok being a bit more realistic, Birdland (by jazz fusion band Weather Report) is fairly well known and sounds good on guitar.
