Does it really matter if he put an or a as long as it makes sense?

Oh, ok then, carry on I probably overreacted a bit there anyway.

My sites hosted by freewebs, although it does cost money to get rid of the Freewebs link backs and it would be advisable to get a domain (either free or something cheap) for the site too.

http://www.googlepages.com. If you like to code in html rather than it's built-in editor, just upload the html files in the box on the right.

Where can I put a website for free is perfectly acceptable, just a bit vague. Where can I host a website for free is better, but as long as you get the general gist of things, it's OK. But An to a is unacceptable.

I just love this forum, it never changes.
I was using a free server for a long time now. But as it got problems with frequent downtimes, I thought: the eternal question of th TGC-forums is "Where can I put a website for free ?".
And lucky I was when finding this eternal thread again.

So now I will try http://www.zendurl.com/

How ironic is it that this statement is grammatically incorrect?

INH, I think you dug yourself one deep grammatically incorrect hole. haha

Mr. X, you could run your own server if you really wanted to. I used to use Apache on my own comp and then had a friend setup a remote computer that we run my groups site off of. Also, your email provider might have free space offered in its email package, depending on who it is.

I do believe one of the banners on top of these threads is "perfect english not requireing" or something like that =P i think that applies to grammar too.

I think Freewebs is out of the question due to this:
Quote: "Can I run ASP scripts? Can I use ColdFusion?
Due to security reasons, we do not allow these types of applications and scripts to be run on our servers. You can, however, link to remote scripts from your website."

The current version of the site does not use asp, but I will need to use it later. So any host must have support for asp .net.

Xolatron, PowerSoft, Damokles

Will look in to those links.

Dr Manette

I don't think that's a good idea for me. The reason if that it's not my website, it's for an organisation (just that I made it), and I would hate it the site goes down just because I go to an LAN.

About the grammar discussion:
You are propobly right about that it should be "a" and not "an", and that it would be better with "Where may I upload a website for free?". But lets not become fanatic. It's not like our lives are about perfect english and grammar.

He didn't miss a question mark, and he may not have been asking where he is allowed to, he may ahve just been asking where it was possible to. But he wasn't.
Quote: " think you'll find it's 'archaic'."

adj.
also Archaic Of, relating to, or characteristic of a much earlier, often more primitive period, especially one that develops into a classical stage of civilization: an archaic bronze statuette; Archaic Greece.
No longer current or applicable; antiquated: archaic laws.
Of, relating to, or characteristic of words and language that were once in regular use but are now relatively rare and suggestive of an earlier style or period.

It may be off topic from the original post, but this is how conversation develops.
And 1337=leet and leet is pronounced el-eet anyway, so the e is pointless. Newb.

So? I may have once been in use but now am relatively rare and suggestive of an earlier period or style.
And it was only a joke, anyway.

I'm trying zendurl right now. But strangely, when I check the website Url, it work only sometimes, not always.
Could some guys check it and tell if they saw the site or not ? If too many get an 404, then I think I might change.
My test page is here : [href]null[/href]http://aziotou.zendurl.com/aziotou/
Don't mind the whole thing, it's just my own cms with some stuff on it. I didn't upload all my modules yet.

Me agree for INH. Because this is bad when I am reading the grammer of those who for which it is bad. Even if so because the person is not an English, we should teach for what is good correct English. It all has the name of help.

110mb has a problem: they refuse self-made upload pages.
As i created my own cms, I can't go there.

Freewebs doesn't support php, asp or asp .net. So for me, it's out of the question. Anyway, I've already found a place where I can put an site. Just that I don't know if it supports asp .net. But at the moment, I won't have so much time for the site, since I've just started the universety.

The one thing worse then the brutality of the evil, is the iggnorance of the god.
