I've created some lens flares in Basic4GL another compiler.
I would like to port them over to DarkBasic.
They are only nice .bmp's.
Usually I use OpenGL to blend them together.
I beleive that's additive blending.
Like glow portion, main flare, streaks and rays.
Makes nice flare.
So if I have all the pictures to use in darkbasic.

How do I blend them all together?

Sorry, I'm alittle confused which does which.
Add I think merges them together.
Makeing center of flare more white while out on the tips
of the rays may still be red.

So if someone could also clearify what the difference is
between the two it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

if you put the images on plains and disable the z distance (there's a command for that, can't remember what it's called) and ghost them, the colours will blend naturally

how can you do that with sprites?

The problem with the gaming community is people think that the resolution of a game defines how good it is. I am not afraid to make a game where the main character is 50x50.
