Some scripts are possible to have in multiplayer, like jumpads, and things that hurt you. You just have to know how to put them in. Scripts like allies will never work, as bots are'nt possible in mp. You can also have dynamic objects such as animated objects.

One last important thing before the tutorial. They must be indestructable and immomobile set to yes. As if a object is moved or destroyed in your game, wont be in others.

heres how to set it up.

TATBS 1.8 is now fully functional. Brilodis is having its districts extracted to Battle City. Krina and Karin are twice the size. And you’ll see 5 times as many breeds of monsters... It’s Kalspher V3.

No problem You could add your animated claw in. As animated objects will work.

Thanks, I was wondering about this recently.

I assume this still works in version 1.06 RC2 and above given Lee made the following update recently:

It would be a shame if you were limited to stairs for navigating higher and lower platforms and not lifts / elevators too.

well I wrote the tutorial in 1.06 RC2. But I didn't build the game to see.

Please check if that really works in the build game. If yes, then I'll try to make an MP map (like said above) and redistribute it in the forum for free...

Ok i'll go build a test level with the jump thingy script in now.


EDIT: I can't even build a normal mp game at the moment, it confuses it with a single player game, and i get the waiting to join bug...

PCF just place the claw, set it to the right script before. Then switch to mp, place 2 charachters and build the game. Because I can't seem to build an MP game at the moment.

There is only one problem:
You tried to test with V1.0.6, in which there is that script disabling code (look at Nomad Soul's post), while I still have V1.0.3 (will download the new one soon... maybe)

Anyway, I'll try and report what's happening

So scripts work in arena mode...

Will NPC's also be working in arena mode then?

Because if it works then you could actually make a
coöperative shooting game.
